  2. Nismo V1 front bumper for sale, bought originally as a damaged item that I have repaired and intended to fit to my Z. I am selling up soon so its no longer required. The Nissan badge has been smoothed out and its ready to give to the bodyshop for final prep and srpay to match your car.

I am asking £200 + shipping, collection can be arranged. If you want it shipped you will have to give me a fair bit of time to source all the packing materials to ensure it reaches you safely. I am willing to travel sensible distances from Gloucester to meet you.

  3. If I could get an exact colour match that would great. Nissan dont sell alloy wheel spray paint though :(

Chris -Cheers for the offer but I think I will take the wheel into Halfords and match it on their colour chart. I was hoping someone had already been down this road and knew the exact paint to use.

  4. Got a small dink in the alloy after I had it in the garage and accidently let it drop against the workmate. I have filled the dink with metallic filler and wet sanded down so tis all smooth now but finding a paint match is a nightmare.

I have tried Halfords Aluminium and Halfords Ford Strato Silver but both are slightly too dark of a shade and even blending looks obvious. The dink is only about 4mm around so dont want to have to respray the whole wheel jsut for that!

Any idea of what colour/shade to use?

    Cheers,

    Hoff

  5. Trev -Thank you. The sensible, reasoned response I was after.

choosing cheap tyres is like eating tesco value food, its still food but its not great.

choosing the wrong tyre size is like eating dog food, its still food but you will die.

    like it, good analogy.

Dont worry, I havent fitted said tyres and not going too. I have no intention of making the car into an unstable, unsafe motor :drive1 I was simply posing the question of why it would make any difference and why? I immerge fully enlightened! ...as do the other many member who are 'crazy' for fitting Falkens

  6. ok ok, calm down now. Its only a question! If its all a matter of saving a few quid then why does anybody bother with something like a Falken 452 when they 'could' purchase a Michelin Pilot Sport 2 for over double the price? Are you saying that all people who do that are also crazy?

  7. I can get a cracking deal (compared to a 245 set) on a couple of 225/45/18's but its the rears are the ones that need sorting. Would it really make tht much difference?

  8. I've been on an airfield day and never found the ABS interfering in anyway, when did you feel them kicking in?

I am going to Colerne on the 27th of March, can you make it? Would be great to share the track day experience! Good layout too, nice track feel.

  9. As long as its not on the tyre wall or shoudler it can be repaired easily and will be fine.

If you really wanted to change from the 050's try Falken 452's

  10. Thats mad! Surely you would check your tires before they got to that state.

I am assuming there is nothing rubbing on the tyre anywhere if so surely your mate has to take some responsibility for the damage? If its been for a service recently then you may have a case as it would be a basic check for any garage
