  1. i quite like the ap's but maybe overkill for trackdays

the other issue is that if your car has no additional cooling then you probably dont want to be doing very long sessions regardless of brakes, oil temps can get high

  2. keep the zed and do one of the following to get to work:

    walk

    run

    beg/borrow other car

    crawl

    swim

    bus

    helicopter

    plane

    catapult

A guy i know had a diesel alfa and to be fair it was quite good but it wasnt really an alfa if you get my meaning, you would do as well to buy a diesel golf imo :scare:

  3. even with a dremel i would still suggest sanding the mouth, i used an air powered dremel and it was so powerful i managed to lose control of it twice and it started dremelling anything it could see, best bit of advice from me would be take your time, realise your going to get pi$$ed off and allow ample time to take it out on your annoying neighbour :)

  4. as long as you cool them down properly and take breaks, ie dont do too many laps then they will be ok, I would however always suggest if you have the time/money to get the fluid replaced, OPIE OILS do a good range and you get a discount from here.

the stuff i use might not be appropriate for you but OPIE will give you some decent advice.

  5. Hi all, well its that time again, 30th May we are at snetterton in another attempt to show the silly subaru's what a zed can or potentially cant do :)

  6. manifold is a fair amount more work than the Y pipe buddy, was good to meet you yesterday, as i said, the parts, can, all compliment each other, so have an idea of what you want as a whole and then buy it in bits if thats what suits you

  7. not for racing, if you mean for street use the amount of work you would have to do on the internals to take nos i suspect would make buy a turbo look like pocket money

  8. well looking at britcar and gtcup, both of which will require about a 30bhp at the wheels hike to be competitive in class. lowest class in both to start with.

Abbey have a few things up their fairly decent sized sleeves so i think all things being equal we should see an NA tune on the cards later in the year, the events will be endurance as well though so it will be interesting to see what they recommend.

  9. oh and to whoever said the n/a isnt mod friendly is not quite true, it just doesnt make financial sense.. there are reasons why someone might do it though... im considering things at the moment :ninja:

  10. if you want 400bhp out of the engine without a turbo you need to call IES and be prepared to give them about £20,000 for an engine that will be rated in time rather than miles,
