  1. I thought I better add that, after getting the pads done, the guy mentioned to take it easy on the breaks for a bit. After reading some of the other posts Ive noticed that many people have been doing the bedding in process, which I have'nt done. Do you think this would solve it? Ive been driving around like this for about 4 days now, so will bedding in at this stage do any good? sorry for all the questions... totally clueless when it comes to this!!
  2. All four where changed. The noise happens when breaking but not everytime. Sometime theres no noise at all, and other times you can hear a significant grinding noise. Also on occasion the grinding noise has continued after coming off the breaks.
  3. Hi guys, Im really not too clever when it comes to breaks. So I really need your help. I have recently had the break pads replaced. When breaking theres a very clear scraping noise, or maybe a better way to describe it is like is a grinding noise. It sounds as though its coming from the rear. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I would really appreciate your help... its a bit worrying!
  4. Hi everyone, Im looking at buying a 350z but the person who owns it has not had it serviced yet and its done about 12,900 miles. Ive read on the forum that the first service is due at either 1 year or 9,000 miles, which ever comes first. If this car has'nt been serviced until now is the warranty still valid? if it is'nt valid do you think I should still buy or avoid? Apart from that the car looks fine Thanks for your help guys! and hope to be sharing my Zed driving experiences with you soon!
  5. Hi Guys, I wonder if anyone has got any info on who honours the warranty if you buy a 350z private, obviously with warranty remaining. I.e the garage that it was originally bought from? (but what if thats like 200 miles away!) or would it be any approved Nissan dealer?
  6. Ive been into the main dealer in Birmingham 3 times now and they won't offer me a decent discount for a quick no hassle sale. Its like they don't want to sell the car! The arrogant t*** said he'll wait till summer to sell it if he has to, but he won't discount the price any lower than £500 off the ticket.
  7. Hi Guys, Thanks for your comments so far. Im thrilled with what ive bought as its definetly the car for me, but i was just a little concerned afterwards thinking I may have rushed into it an not haggled enough with the dealer (bought is from Nissan dealer). I have mate who also loves the 350z and now he wants one too! so ive recommened signing up to this forum. As we're now on the hunt for one for him we would appreciate your help and any suggestions you may have for haggling with the dealers (somtimes there that hard it does'nt seem like they want to sell the car!) We've seen a 2006/06 gt black with about 16,000 miles on it. The dealers asking for £20,500, is it a good deal? its just missed the facelift. And also what do you guys think about the 350z facelift, although there are quite a few changes mostly minor is it worth holding out and investing in the facelift like ive done for the extra money instead of the 2006/06? Sorry about all the questions!!! If theres anyone to ask its the guys that love this car the most! Looking forward to your posts!
  8. Hi everybody, Just bought a 2006/56 Facelift Zed GT with Alezan interior and paid £22,000 with around 20k on the clock. Im bit worried that I paid too much! can anyone advise? Would also be great to know what other Zed owners paid for their cars.
