  1. The last time I replaced my brake pads I upgraded to the Ferodo DS2500's. Are these the best pads available on the market for a standard Brembo set up? Just wondering if the game has moved on and something else came on the market better than the Ferodo's.

Money not really an issue but I do like to spend wisely. No point paying through the nose for a superior brand if something else is just as effective, but cheaper...

    Many thanks

  2. Hi guys,

This is the second time this has happened to me now. Someone has decided to whack my wing mirror clean off leaving it hanging about by just the wire. So I'm looking a replacement one in gunmetal grey with the triangular attachment plate.

    Any pointers/suggestions are appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Jimmy

  3. Thanks guys. Looks like everything is ok... apart from one thing. There is a really sharp squeal as the car comes to a standstill - from around 15 - 10 mph to 0 mph. Is this lack of grease or something else. I really hoped I wouldn't have to deal with this.

  4. Looking for a driver's side wing mirror for a UK spec 2007 GT Pack model in the dark grey colour. Some idiot thought it would be funny to knock them off a few cars parked in St James Square last night

  5. Hello people,

Received by new ads from CS earlier this week. I'm fitting them in right now. Anyone have any instructions for a standard bedding-in procedure. I read somewhere that you have to do 25-30 trial brake applications. Is this really necessary?

    Many thanks...

  6. Thanks for the advice guys. Funny how I wanted one thing but ended up going for the other! I went for the DS 2500's in the end from CS. Can't wait to try them on. Just hope that I don't get any squeals...

  7. O.P You don't say what you are planning to use the car for or your calliper/disc type or the power that you are putting out.

It's just the stock disc and Brembo calliper setup. I mostly do road driving and plan on taking it to the track maybe once or twice a year. Sorry for lack of information bro...

  8. Excellent advice people. Although I decided against a lower profile and to stick with the stock 45 profile. I went for the new CSC 3's in the end and had them fitted today. Really gutted about the Goodyear's not coming in the stock sizes though. Looks like a wheel upgrade will be next on my list... :)

  9. Hello people,

Looking to replace my pads all round. Have narrowed it down to 3 choices after reading the threads here:

    Endless SSS

    Performance Friction Z-Rated

    Hawk Performance HPS

I've only seen the HP's recommend by Tere but he does seem to rate them very highly. From what I've read the Endless SSS are probably more suited for me but I was wondering how they would compare with the HP's.

Also does anyone know the best way to get hold these?

  10. Hello people,

I finally decided to go for the Eagle F1's following the review EVO magazine did last year and following the threads in this forum. The thing is I found out today Goodyear don't supply a 225/45/18 for front!

I'm back to square one again. I've got Falken FK452's at the moment and while I'm happy with these I was looking for something with a harder compound. There's quite a bit of give in the rubber with these Japanese softies... Toyo's included which I had on my previous jam jar.

And another thing... I'm reading a lot here that the standard rubber is Bridgestone RE040, however when I bought mine it came with RE050's. I've read horrible things about the RE040's and while the RE050's from my experience provide the similar dismal experience in the wet, the hard compund makes them very sticky in the heat with excellent feedback at the helm. That's why I'm looking for a hard compound tyre that is as good in the wet as it is on dry roads.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated... :)

  11. I don't know about members but I opened up the Yellow Pages and only one company out of all the picture ads had the Falkens in stock. Some hadn't even heard of them. I'd heard about Camskill so I tried there and this is where I've got the best price so far. £88 a corner! I'll be placing an order on Monday.
