  1. Nice one Ozz! Have you ordered your new grill yet?
  2. I've read a few rumour based stories on the internet that talk of Nissan developing the 350Z into the 370Z (with a 330bhp 3.7litre engine). Now some stories show pictures a heavily worked new look and others show what looks to be the 350Z we all know and love with a different engine. I don;t have any specific links to give you but if you google "Nissan 370Z" you will come accross loads of news/rumour pages
  3. You think thats bad, a few years ago one of my mates was in his car, a yellow Ferrari 360 Modena along with registration 50UND on display, with a girl he worked with in the passenger seat. The local Birmingham radio DJ must have seen him because later that day he announced on air that he had just seen his perfect car, a Yellow Ferrari with the registration plate 50UND and went on to say that the guy driving it was looking really cool with his beautiful blonde girlfriend in the passenger seat. When he got home that night his wife, a brunette, had a few things to say to him.
  4. What type of key opens a caravan door? a PIKEY!!!!

    Name that grill

Thats what I'm scared of! I didn't buy my Zed with modding in mind, I just needeed a reliable car to do 30,000 miles a year in. I know what I'm like though.... "Oooh those wheels are nice..." or "Hmmm that paint job is cool" and "My car would benefit from a forced induction kit..."
  6. I had a similar problem a few years ago trying to do a three point turn on a side road after it had been snowing. I had a 200SX at the time and my rear wheels ended up in the gutter and I couldn't get out. Fortunately I had two passengers with me who gave me a push. Then last winter in my RX-8 I couldn't get out of the golf course because it started snowing while I was having one on the 19th... Still, makes you laugh when you look back

If you look on that link, you'll see that there are two tabs at the top of the webpage. One for the MX Series Steel Mesh and one for the BG Series Billet. I think the car on the pistonheads site has the BG grill, mine has the MX mesh. I'm still not convinced I'm going to keep it yet... If I decide to take it off, I'll give you a shout.
  8. VDC and ESP are the same thing! ESP is more commonly understood in Europe so renamed for this market! From what I've read, most people get annoyed with the headlamp washers when they come on automatically! haha I know that, I was using it as an example of simple differences you can use to spot an import over a UK car that don't actually cause an issue. Headlamp washers are ace! Especially if someone walks too close to your car in city centre traffic

Is it one of these maybe? http://www.grillcraft.com/applications/ ... spx/2/487/
  10. If I was buying new, I would be very very tempted with a white one. It looks fantastic in white and there won't be that many of them about so reselling it should be easy. If you can't sell it, you can always send it back to Japan, they love white sports cars over there!

    350Z Number 1

Having been on Stag Weekends round most of Eastern Europe in the last two years I would definitely say Czech or Hungarian
  12. I think that if someone is going to buy a 350Z then they will fall in to one of two categories. Category A - People who will buy JDM or UK Category B - People who will buy UK only (before anyone says, I think "Category C - People who will only buy JDM only" doesn't really exist) If you're looking at a £13-15K car now, think what its going to be when you come to sell it. In 1 year it will be a £10-13K car, in 2 years it will be a £8-12K car and in 3 years you could be looking as low as £6-10K. As time goes on the price differences between UK and JDM cars will become a lot closer. I think you'll find that people will lean more towards UK cars because, like it or not, there is a general perception that they will be more reliable. Is there room in that suit for me Sarnie?
  13. I love the wet weather too. You can slide it at much less dangerous speeds, without making as much noise (i.e. attention) and without shaving as much tread off your back shoes. Its my first winter with the car so I'm going to be careful if it gets icy but its so controllable in a slide that I can't help but create one everytime I get the chance.
  14. I remember seeing on one of the Facefook applications about cars that the 350Z was the 6th most owned car and also the 8th most desired. It was the only car to make the top 10 of both lists. God knows where they all are though!
  15. Do you guys really find it that bad? I know this is the worst thing to say because I'll curse myself but I can't recall anyone who has had a bad weather caused accident. Maybe its just different in Costa Del Cheshire???
  16. I don't want to see any other Zeds, I want people to be looking at mine!
  17. Can't you just drive carefully?

    +1 ...and my beer Belgian
  19. When I was looking, all I could find were, dodgy rear fog lights (if they haven't been converted with one in the existing light cluster). These don't look as good as the UK fog lights but its purely an aesthetic issue. Also, some of the JDMs still had 17" wheels which again don't look as good but I can't comment about how they affect the drive. There are other differences (e.g. no headlamp washers, VDC instead of ESP, etc but none of them are issues IMO) I've only had one jap imported car in the past (a Version IV Scooby WRX STi Type-R Coupe) and I imported it new so when I converted it to mph from kmph the speedo started from zero. If you've got one thats still in km it might be worth keeping it that way so that when you sell it you can legitimately tell me how much its got on the clock without having to explain that its got X number of Km followed by Y number of miles. As long as you know you are going to get less when you sell it than a UK car and you pay less when you buy it you shouldn't have too much trouble from what I can tell.
  20. Was my first thought but I figured I'm still too new to these fora to show my deviant/perverted/pesterous ways just yet
  21. There is a good reason everything is more expensive in the UK. More people want to live here and it drives the prices up. Its the best country in the world to live in. Now if only we could fix the weather...
  22. What a guy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l2y_glJew0&NR=1 (This has probably been posted before but its relevant to the link so...)
  23. Things move on fellas (and ladies). Years ago we used to build our dwellings out of straw and animal crap, now we use bricks or steel and glass. Similarly there are better media formats in which to ingest information, books are so boring compared with the interactive products we now have readily available.
