  1. Hi guys, haven't been on all week as I got the Z last Friday and haven't got out of it since! What an amazing car!! £200 petrol in 6 days... ouch! Anyway, quick Q; spoke to my uncle who imported a camper van from Japan... aparently some imports don't have under seal or protection under the car to cope with Uk conditions/salt grit we use on the roads (which aparently erodes the underneath of cars)... Anyone know if my Z will be ok, or will I need to get something sorted? It's a late 2004. Thanks, Ricki
  2. Lovely.... looks tidy! What a lovely Z... is that yours?
  3. Haha, didn't mean to sound like a muppet!.... but when I looked at it the other day (I admit for aonly a few seconds)... I was sure it was moulded onto the grill. Obviously from your reaction, I'm totally wrong!!?
  4. Really? I had a look at the black JAP plate holder, and its attached to the grill..... won't it look a bit strange with the black square surrounding behind it? http://images.ibcjapan.co.jp/2007/10/31 ... Large.jpeg
  5. Hi again guys... looking to buy a front plate surround that can change the current JAP plate holder in to a UK holder... anyone know where I can get one at a decent price, and are they easy to fit for an average Joe?
  6. Haha, true... you know I didn't mean "only"... I was just being modest. Can't wait, gave it a test run and I've fallen in love! Will keep you updated, especially on the mods! Ricki
  7. Thanks guys! It's just the base model, 2005 in carbon grey. I searched for ages as I wanted the model with the lip at the rear, on the boot.... and for some reason I prefer the 7 spoke alloys, but will probably change them for some lower profile alloys! Thanks again! Ricki
  8. Justa quick one to find out the ideal size for the front number plate of a 350 import.... Picking it up next Wednesday (at last!) so want to have the number plates made this weekend to drive her home! Thanks, Ricki
  9. Cheers for the advice! Speak soon, Ricki
  10. Cool, cheers. Can I just fit my current Uk plate to the front? God, I'm such an amateur!
  11. Thanks Nixy, always to my rescue!
  12. Hi guys... my Fairlady Z arrives in 7 days (at last!) and I am off to get plates tomorrow..... does anyone know the exact size to fit to a Fairlady Z import (2004)? I am getting 2 different sizes on google, and wondered if anyone has the correct measurements for the front and back? Thanks! Ricki
  13. Haha, so were you pulled for the format or the obscenity!? Probably both
  14. Might risk it then! See what happens! Did you get a fine/points when you were pulled? And did they actually say it was illegal?
  15. Cheers to both of you!
  16. Cheers! I think he owe's you some comission, as I think I'm also off to buy a set! Just sent him an e-mail.
  17. What are the wheels on the blue 350 on this link? Theyre pretty sexy.com!
  18. Not sure.. had a look on the forum for related discussions but can't find anything. You know where I can see any images?
  19. Hi guys, does anyone know what the law is with regards to Japanese size number plates on UK cars? Obviously the long UK plates don't fit, but I wondered if there were any laws regarding "letters per line"? The reason I ask is that I want to put 5 letters on the top line, and one letter on the bottom line, centralized. Yes... this is probably a bit cheeky and I will probably be stopped, BUT... are there any laws forbidding this... as I can't find any (only laws on spacing etc)...? Thanks! Ricki
  20. Hi guys... anyone got any advice/pics of good alloy wheels that suit a 350? I have seen some pics with lovely wheels on, but they never say what wheels they are. I am after 18", low profile.... anyone got any advice on any good wheels/stockists? Cheers! Ricki
