Hmmm, after buzzing round europe in the zed I've picked up a 'shopping trolley' for a mix of work commutes (Zed comes out to play on a Friday though) and for the mtn bike.... Got 130mph out of her on the Autobahn, plenty fast enuff for me. Somehow my average speed ended up being 29mph.... and I got 28.5 mpg (aircon on constantly) during the run the 3 week tour that took in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Liechenstein, Italy and France.

mine is a darn sight quicker than my old car (1.6sxi Astra) and to be honest like the rest of the guys I often find my self cruising just a bit too fast. Gonna take mine to Europe for the summer and totally looking forward to a trip taking in Bruge, Germany (I wonder why?) lake Como and Eastern France. Wonder how the beast will cope with my travel bag, the girlies trunk and the camping gear...........

Just got the Zed back from the dealer after sorting a few warranty issues. Talking of which.... the old window wind noise issue at highish speeds they claimed was non warranty (an adjsutment not a replacement part worth badgering nissan uk?) Anyhow back to the main track..... I'm about to replace my rear tyres the fronts have got 5mm left of the (I'm assuming orginal, milage approx 12k) Potenza Bridegstone rubber but the rears are barely legal.... have found a like for like cost of £156.28 each fitted but was wondering if there was a better tyre being recommended for an 05 350z? But twice now I've not got a beep out of the engine after unlocking and trying to start her. On both occaions buggering off to collect something and returning say 2mins later and she started first time...... (after feverish locking unlocking had no effect) now my car can't be psychic and know I've forgotton something...... oh and i've got those extra air vent trims but one ain't sticking own too well... any product anyone can recommend? also just to keep the stubby guys happy.... my shopping list currently is: tonneau luggage mat stubby cheers K

Er no. I haven't bothered have entered into an arrangement with a pal. We just swap cars when I'm desperate to use the bike. I'm away up north 2 weekends a month visiting the lady. So time free to mtn bike is limited, so swapping cars once a month is an easy solution....

Will post a piccie or two later today. Awesome drive home...... might have to leave the computer on speed setting as I often felt I was being legal only to find that maybe speed feels very different in a 350z compared to my old Astra....... Only noticed 2 slight flaws..... all on drive home rather than test drive: one of the interior lights (passenger side) ain't working (prob just a bulb) quite a bit of wind noise from drivers window at higher speeds, think the window slips slighty But these minor glitches don't lessen the pleasure......... my pal after 10 seconds of being in stated 'I want one' ..... we all know how that feels.....

I'm off to the airport......... less than 3 hrs to go........

under 20 hours, and well I'll sleep for 8 and fly down for 1hr so allowing for the airport malarky I only have 10hrs of free time to use up.......

i guess you'll be going back over the top of the M25 but if you go on the south side, let me know as i'll be in the area Yeah I'll be going over the top but I'm sure I'll be looking to join a meet in the future..... I'm so going thru a v slightly early mid life crisis but do I care? Mid life is 40 right?

Just over the 30hr mark........... Ona more serious note does anyone have a tonneau cover and luggage net in tandem..... just wondering if its sensible or over kill?

Most of which will fly by (off to Poland with the lady for 5), so no count down. On a serious note this will be my 3rd test drive of a Zed (deal subject to it) I'm aware of the clicking issue of drive shaft to look (listen) out for. Apart from the dangerously large grin on my face is there anything else I should be specifically looking out for on an 05 Zed? Cheers in advance

Went and got myself a diff car entirely.... see the yeeeehah thread: 05 9300miles GT in Silver for a wee bit more (19k)

Gunmetal was preferred colour with silver close second.... couldn't ignore the milage and kinda liked the badging..... Spent the weekend moutain biking in Peebles (Scotland) and talking to garages in Barnet, Kettering, Norwich (home) and Exeter....

Have secured a 350z of my liking: Silver (though the garage thinks its grey) 05 with rays GT 9600 miles frong and rear parking sensors The Nissan main dealer in my hometown were gonna aquire it from another (non)nissan dealer, so I cut out the middle man and saved myself 1K will have to drive it back 240 miles when I pick it up Just gotta wait till feb 14th for pick up ..... think I can talk the girlfriend into buying it for me being valentines an all?

54 plate 21,000 miles GT Silver SAT NAV 2 previous owners....... the only question is how fair is the price...... £18495? Have seen an 05 20000 miles Silver GT (no sat nav) for £17949.... hmmm have seen either cars in the flesh. both seem fair enough prices?

A pal of mine lives round the corner from my gaff, drives a diesel peugeot 306..... and we're gonna insure both cars for both drivers and on the odd occasion I need a bike carrier or need more than two seats we will swap cars. Obviously I trust his driving and safes me the hassle of one of the following: cheapo second drive imported bike rack hiring cars as and when. Just gotta get the car sorted now. Should be good for mid to late feb, ideally I'll pick it up after getting back from my half term holiday to Poland........ getting all excited just thinking about it.....
