  1. I should of taken some pictures to so you what i mean, Dont spose anybody has a picture of the inside of a v1 nismo bumper just so i can see if im missing something??

May sound silly, but are you sure the holes are for the washer jets and not left/right camera fitments? I have the V1 NISMO bumper with the optional camera holes which were a factory option in Japan, will find a pic and post up so you can compare

  2. I have PM'd Adam about these and sent him 3 definate names.

    Myself,Shire 350z and Ebized.

If there is anyone else who is ready to buy these, let me know or PM Adam.

Edit: Im derfinately in mate,

According to XE.com, $200 equates to approx £135 delivered at this time, so if its a tad cheaper again with a group buy, sounds like good value to me

Will fire you a PM to confirm my order mate ;)

  3. Dave: whats that lump above your drivers door speaker? Knee pad?

They're knee braces....theres one on the left side too. Another JDM factory option, supposedly helps keep you in place during spirited driving. I dont actually notice them at all during normal driving, but they're suprisingly effective and comfortable when you need them

I thought as much. I have the little on on the centre console, but never seen one on the door like that before. You obviously drive very spiritedly :drive1

Same as all of us i should think, i like the odd blatt :D Im still to get the Zed onto the track as im very curious to see how it compares to my previous car, a modded R34GTT. Although the Zed is around 120bhp down on the Skyline, id wager the handling and power delivery would make it a slightly faster car on track and more fun to drive.....give those knee braces a real work out

  5. I have the same Momo wheel on my JDM Zed :D

It was a rather pricey Fairlady factory option in Japan ;) Personally, i think it looks so much better than the standard wheel....especially as JDM cars dont have cruise control, so youre not missing out on anything exciting by not having the buttons ;)

    Heres mine B)

  6. Some here may know from my past ramblings, that my brother is quite a talented chap and has in intrest in amateur film making. Hes done several short films which have been shown on the festival circuits etc and has recieved amazing feedback, both magazine and online. His latest effort is getting great reviews and write ups at the moment and rightly so in my opinion....

You can view the 4min short film HERE

Please have a look and feel free to leave some feedback....i think hes got a promising future, hope you agree B)

  7. I had the new headunit installed last night and thankfully it seems to have sorted all the issues i was experiencing, woohoo :D No need to mess around with the amp....for the time being at least.

Big thanks to the boys at AP Motors in Plympton once again for fitting me in so quickly and to Shaun for doing such a sterling job with the fitting, top man B)

  8. Well, i bit the bullet today and went out and purchased THIS headunit from a local store and will get it fitted during the week keeping the Bose amp and see if the problems are still there. Fingers crossed the issue will be sorted and the old headunit will have been the fault...if not, i guess i'll have to decide whether to bypass the Bose amp completely or replace the amp with an aftermarket item

Will post an update when the headunit is fitted.

  9. There could be an owner nearby that might let you borrow one to test.....

Dont seem to be too many about in this neck of the woods mate :(

To be honest, im getting to the stage where i may just replace the headunit anyway, and bypass the amp completely as the car has already had all its speakers uprated to Alpine units by the previous owner in Japan, and simply live without a Sub. Ive never had a sub on any of my previous cars and it hasnt worried me at all, so it would seem to be the easiest move.

  10. Hi guys. Does anyone have a working, standard BOSE amp from their Zed floating about after upgrading they would consider selling??

After reading THIS thread and having similar issues, id like to rule out the amp as being my problem before replacing the headunit.

    Any help appreciated

    Dave
