  1. Slight update: So after talikng to the manager, he thinks that when they convert the speedo from mph to km's they may have forgotten to attach a wire to the ecu, to delimit it.... Sound plausible or talking ballcocks You decide Dave
  2. Max As a side note, has tesco's in barrow got super unleaded? Just got my 5p of a litre voucher, and might as well save it if they do! Dave
  3. If mine was showing 120 that equals 112, with error, wouldn't 167/8 be about 155 with the error. as that would keep the error within 10% Dave
  4. We'll be there for sure, as long as i get away unscathed from my mates wedding, cos i've gotta do a best mans speech in in front of a caravanning bunch!!! Dave
  5. My daily driver is a ford ranger pick up, 99% of the time is rear wheel drive with no traction control. I absolutely hate the first shower after 2-3 dry days, the rain lifts all the detritus back out of the road. And it will wag it's tail without any provocation It takes a good heavy shower, to clean the road but until then, i do drive the seat of the pants. This has made me a more attentive driver in the Z when it's damp, but i would encourage anyone to just back off, and (hating the cliche) expect the unexpected Dave
  6. Well, I've come to the conclusion, i think the Bose is not all its cracked up to be, so im after A: suggestions for a replacement, preferably DoubleDIN to fill the hole! up to 350ish of your english pounds B: after scouring the forum, i know i need a PAC-OEM and some kind of adapter harness (Micra?) But as the mereset thought of slicing wires, fills me with the kind of fear that sends me to the fridge for another beer!, anyone know where i can find a competant adult that could do this kind of stuff Dave
  7. So i've had the Z for just shy of a fortnight, now and finally after using a private road it ran out of go at an indicated 120 so that equates to 112 with the speedo error at that end, so back on the phone to the guy it came from. Me " you assured me that it would be delimited" Him" oh, well when we convert imprezas to mph it delimits it normally, we can do that for a price" Me " #*$% off it will, Him "ok, we'll see what i can do" G Gotta ring him monday, as he should have ordered the part, which thanks to you wonderful people i know is the HKS Speed Defencer!, A:what ball park figure should this come to, cos i can feel an arguement coming on! Dave, It felt ever so stable at the speed, even better than my alfa 166!
  8. Well, we will be coming from leeds on the sunday am, not decided on the route, as not sure if i fancy doing battle with caravans on the A59! So if anyone wants to meet up, tag along let me know Dave

  17. Very interesting topic, as i've just put a deposit down on an 03 JDM, currently going through sva prep, and i raised this question with the dealer and he's sure that it applies to the first reg ie japan, not it first uk reg. But as another question unless i'm misinterpreting the earlier quote, "If DVLA have no record of the co2 emissions then its lumped in to band g" surely then the My 03my Z33 will have the same registered emissions as a uk car allowing its correct banding?? Anyway i'm still giddy about my new car, orange with matching interior!! woooo Dave
