  1. I had been saving for 350z for years, and managed to buy one not long before my 19th. Parents bought my other car for my 18th (1.8 Vauxhall Astra H) I agree it doesn't matter how old you are, its a stunning and quick car so you should be happy with it whether your 18 or 80 :teeth:

  2. It's Power-Tune Scotland that will most likely be doing the remap. I've heard the guy is really good, done a few Porsches, RS4s, he has a 3.8s VX220 turbo he remapped that himself and got extremely good gaines.

I was thinking the Nismo exhaust but how long roughly will it take to come from America as i couldn't source any in the uk. I leave on sunday, but have someone who can take the car to get things fitted so it doesn't really matter when the stuff arrives!

Thanks again for all the help

  3. Hi Guys,

    Im away to Poland on Sunday and don't come back till Friday, Was considering getting some stuff for the 350 and fitted whilst im away, what are everyones opinions on the following;

Had a look at the Gruppe-M Carbon Fiber Intake http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model=350z&cat=intake&prodid=359

A remap from a company near me, apparantly they are pretty good (he estimated +20bhp and +25 lbs Ft of torgue. Is this good/correct/poor for a remap?).

And was also considering an exhaust system aswell, any suggestions as which one to go for?.

    Thanks for any help

  5. Ive been to see about it and its needs resprayed and blended. I dont mind paying a bit aslong as its done properly and is not noticable. awell you have to think no matter how many times they scratch it, it still wont give them the car :) thanks guys im starting to feel a little better about it.

  6. I was away in germany last week working and came back on monday there to a brilliant late birthday present of 2 big scratches one my car. One along the petrol cap right down to the back arch maybe a footlong, the other above the front arch just about 6 inches. Both are right down to the metal and im not happy at all, worst of it is i dont know whether it was done outside my house(not so likely) in Buchanan(Sp?) Galleries car park in Glasgow or in Scotstoun also in Glasgow where i was parked the day before i went away. All in all its wasted my week.

  7. i lost to a k plate fiesta the other day  wasnt too happy. pulled up next to him and asked what was in it....... had a full sierra cosworth convertion incl being changed to 4wd, and to make it even better lol, there was no back seats, 2 in the front were carbon. the interior was made from aluminium and had plastic windows, felt like a right idiot, in saying that he didnt win by that much considering its power and it weighing as much as a fluffy fart! i like beating scoobies.... thats fun :yahoo:

  8. Does anyone know where to get Volk Gt-7's with the black finish at a decent price, ive looked everywhere and noone seems to do them  , i know they make them just cant find who sells them lol, so if anyone could help me it would be amazing

  9. Has anyone noticed that soon as you buy a car its like a magnet for the same kind.... quite annoying  , zeds for example there as rare as rockinghorse @*!# until i get mines now i see them all the time  . Still beautiful though :teeth:

  10. just depends on what im getting for my money, i dont really mind spending a bit aslong as im getting good value. Does adding either increase your insurance alot, what does it do to fuel consumption, does it hold the cars value/increase it(highly unlikely)/ lower the cars value etc, all information on both the supercharger and the TT would be much appreciated

  11. Hey welcome, where abouts in glasgow you from, i stay near motherwell. i was looking at twin turbos or a supercharger, if anyone has had any of these done, is it really worth the 4.5k? whats the increases like. E.g. 0-60, bhp? thanks

  12. Nope its Uk so its not limited. thanks everyone for all your help. i might not be able to talk this coming week as ill be in France working :), have a good week everone.

  13. The insurance is a killer . i had a bit of money saved for a while so i bought the car 2 weeks ago yesterday and paid the insurance aswell, i must say its been worth every penny :teeth: . I am seriously considering the advanced driver training (does anyone know places that do it in scotland?).

  14. Hey everyone thanks for the help, could anyone advise me on a bigger set of wheels and tyres, was looking at 19" lenso's but im not sure. would it be better(cheaper, easier) to buy from the internet or try and find a supplier (i live in scotland).

the car is totally standard just now as you can see from the picture!

  15. Hey thanks very much that sounds great, when you said change the breaks do you mean pads or everything? cause its brembos on it just now. could you advise me on which products to buy e.g tyres, suspension etc, how much did that training course cost and how long did it take? thanks again.

  16. Hi thanks for that :), insurance is a bit of a killer even with the car being standard cause im only 18, i was gonna go down that line of bigger wheels and have the car lowered (eibach or koni). is the piggyback expensive and can it damage the car in anyway? i was told a remap would maybe give me 10-20 extra, i dunno how close that is to the truth though. thanks

  17. Hey can anyone help me, im looking for some small performance mods for my 350Z, i dont want anything too major as insurance is bad enough because of my age. Can anyone help please? thanks in advance.
