Time to scrap the cap

I think he was just shocked that after admitting it.. he got done with his own words! Personally i had a good laugh at him..
He didnt get caught on cam but i think if he didnt open his big mouth about his speed, the result may have been different. Cops might have got the wrong idea and thought he was bragging or proud of it or something..
Lets not forget ..its always possible the cops really did stop him for another reason.. or no reason at all..just bored.. i still think its best to be polite but dont openly admit to anything.

Drug dealer? Cops these days and u havent even blackened out the windows hehe
-
Just wondering...how did u do against the Porsche?
-
Yeah like the look of those!
For me i always try to consider the re-sale.. so want the mods that look as stock as possible
-
il be testing my brakes soon.. wana see how they do in the wet vs dry then il consider upgrading if i need it..guess depends what tyres i got on and cost of upgrading! do not want to be spending £1k on brakes for everyday usage.
The brembo set up shud cope with the 289hp at rear wheels..
But i was also told the Z's are also relatively heavy in comparison to the competition out there (ie TT / S2000 / RX8)..
Any reason why our Z's got so much added weight? (i dont get it..we dont even have back seats like RX8 / TT!!)
-
Yeah il twin turbo her later.. when i got spare £6k
For now, dont mind getting bit more from an ECU change, should get between 20-30hp max with all changes and better perfromance throughout the RPM range Not 100% sure, so tell me if im wrong about that gains figure ok
Just bit worried im gona lose even more fuel economy.. 20mpg is bad enough!
-
Yeah definately agree with the no nonsense crap..cheap excuses dont work.
However, a friend of mine was stopped one time for speeding and apologised and admitted to being over the limit... 2 weeks later he got court summons through the post with his very words quoted as evidence against him!!
I think better not to admit anything

I nearly fell into this trap after i found a few on ebay for £350...after getting everyones opinion here i quickly changed my mind...i think stick to the well known brands (Nismo, Borla, Stillen etc)
-
Im confused i thought the Z Brembo set up are awsome enough.. is it really worth changing the OEM pads to aftermarket ones?
-
Hi .. i seen it advertised on ebay quite a bit recently ..but no one seems interested in bidding.
Be honest im a bit weary of these.. i prefer an induction kit that housed in an air box so it looks more stock (K&N Typhoon and Stillen).
-
That black Z looks awsome.. congrats!
-
Their loss... not gonna spend my hard earned money in that county anymore! Bunch of Losers
-
Yes... i dream about them every night..
-
Forgot to ask u... as members here.. can we get discount from them??
-
Maybe will post some pics when i can find a good camera
If youre local.. why dont u join us on the 'south coast meet'? Have a look at the posting below for details.. hoping it will be the 28th July (can see my z there).

Nice blog!

You can get both these from CTD in Germany http://www.ctd-germany.com/shops/350z/shop_e/index.php
Going to contact these guys tmr!
I think im inlove with these door sills and rear strut plate

Well im going to get a remap for my Z (cost about £900), so ordering an induction kit (stillen £150) and 'true dual' exhaust system (ie borla or stillen) is definately worth it for me so i get the maximum HP gains.
Apparently u wont get any gains from these extras unless u do an engine remap..z's have self correcting ECU ...so if u just buy an induction kit and Nismo exhaust all you wil get is a great sound... If youre gona keep the car long term go for it!
Nismo from US - about £700 (plus any import duties and VAT about 25% on top of that max) and go for the Stillen induction kit is abut £150 from UK.

Cheers for the link... il check it out

Ive been stopped numerous times in last 8 years of driving and never been issued points or fixed penalty charge.. somehow ive always been able to get away with a warning or a cop shaking his head at me in disapproval as i slam on the brakes when going past them...
.. one time i was caught on A3, the london traffic cops stopped me for approx **mph over speed limit...
I acted dumb and asked if theyd stopped me cos my sports exhaust was too loud ...i then found myself in 20min conversation with them about TVR's and various other car exhaust sounds that are apparently illegal...we finished the convo and we were all just about to walk off and then they finally remembered why they stopped me and called me back to give me a proper warning. They let me off that time..i was damn lucky!
Another time i was caught by cops in Kingston and i was driving a 52 plate MK4 Astra turbo (that id modded up to 300hp) they said theyd followed me for 2 miles and had trouble keeping up.. but they loved the car so much and were more interested in looking what id done to the car to make it so fast (they were also driving the same year Astra but was diesel model.. and they stil couldnt understand it)
I trully beleive the best way to get out of a fine or points when stopped in our Z cars, is to try to change the subject .. try to make them think of something other than your speed, maybe think up an alternative good reason why they might have stopped u and ask them about it.. and always speak politely, they like to be called 'sir'.. they feel respected i guess.
If anyones got any good methods to avoid tickets pls share! or good stories?

I also need a service on my car... gone 14,000 miles and its a 52 reg.. im in Surrey area - i thought maybe Wilsons in Epsom, anyone know what service i might need and what i should expect to pay? (better to know before i ask the dealership so i dont get ripped off)
