There is nothing wrong with Ayesha's shoes
Lol, i was going down the toyo route if i was going to get some new ones.
Have you been driving her hard?
No, not to hard . The service I had done picked up the the front pads and front tyres would need changing later this year so I'm looking ahead and will probably change all pads and all tyres in a few months. I'm still trying to decide which pads, probably Ferodo DS2500. They seem to get good reviews.

......tyres?
I've realised how crap my OEM Bridgestones are and am looking to replace all four tyres to get some grip. I've done a search and found surprisingly little opinion on tyres.
Is there a standout winner when it comes to tyres on a Zed? I'm not particularly loyal to any tyre brand so would consider anything. I've seen a couple of people on here praise their Toyo's, are there any others?

Trev-the-rev,
I've just noticed....have you removed the orange reflectors from your headlight units? How did you do that?
Craig.
2006 models dont have the amber strips in the lights
aahhhh....it all becomes clear. I removed the same reflectors from my previous Scooby easily enough, although its still nerve wracking wondering if the headlight unit will seal okay afterwards.

I (havent) seen the limiter at 155mph
Thats good to know! .

I have a few pics at home of the zed from the top, looks awesome
Can you post a couple Louis, so I can see my car from above.

Craig what are you doing to Ayesha????
I'm just teasing her at the moment .
No firm plans for anything just yet.

stock Y pipe has a resonator, the aftermarket ones don't, so will sound better
Many aftermarket Y pipes (though not all) also will give a nice boost in torque too (I've seen up to 9 ft lbs at the wheels). Don't be fooled though, many of the ebay ones are ill fitting replicas of great pieces, but with corners cut. These corners though are often what makes the part work (and fit!)
Thanks for the reply Adam,
I've just been looking around your website which is fantastic. Do you have a price for the K+N Typhoon intake kit for the Zed as there isn't a price on your site?
Cheers,
Craig.

first photo show decats and they are illegal and won't pass MOT
second photo is a Y pipe.
Are there any benefits to fitting the Y pipe?
-
I've seen on Ebay various types of Decat exhaust pipes. How many does the Zed have in total and how many can you change (if any) before the exhaust emissions are compromised? Could you get away with changing the singles or the downpipe without affecting your MOT chances.
These are the ones I've seen on ebay.

~50KG iirc
Wow!! Thats quite a bit, the weight of a small person.

A 4 litre Zed would be fantatic!!

I wonder what the weight difference is between a GT Zed and a non GT Zed? I would imagine that the BOSE subwoofer is a few kgs, as would the electric motors in the leather seats. My old Zed also had the heavier standard wheels. I reckon it all adds up that my Zed is a fair few kgs lighter than my old one although I wouldn't argue with the psychological element. I'm sure theres a part to play with that also.

+1
Yeah, I would like to do this as well.

The one where you pay
Nope...still none the wiser!!
Whats it called?

Hi guys.
Just a quickie to see if there is anybody interested in meeting up in the Wrexham/Chester area?
Maybe a few names and preferable dates of anybody interested to get the ball rolling!!
I will put the same message up on the other 350z site and see what interest we get from there
What other 350Z site????
-
Nope not for me
Not for me either.
If you like it, then that is all that matters.

Can anyone confirm that this isnt a bumper off job? I quite fancy a pair myself, but too lazy to search for the answer
Chris,
I asked this question the other day and got this very useful link. You don't have to remove the bumper.

Seem expensive, I bought a set for £9 a few months ago on ebay. Still not fitted them though
£9...wow..thats cheap!
I assume it was a private sale as opposed to an online trader?
Craig.

I'm trying to get some clear front bumper reflectors for my 04 Zed but my local dealer reckons that the Nissan dealers no longer stock them at the minute due to stock acquisition problems. Does anybody know if this is true? Has anybody bought some recently?
Will these fit with them being American? Clicky
Cheers,
Craig.

I like that a lot...
Smaller has to mean lighter.

Does anybody know / remember what colour Motul 300V Power Racing engine oil is? I'm quite distrustful of mechanics doing an oil change when I put my car in for a service as I don't want them to swipe my expensive oil and put in their generic stuff. I'm hoping its one the more distintive colours I've come accross before like a green or red colour so it can be easily checked by me dipping the sump.
Any ideas?
Craig.

Hi Colin,
As somebody who has owned a GT pack Zed in 2004 and now a non GT Zed (see "Ayesha is mine") I feel I can comment on this matter. I loved the leather seats on my GT pack Zed but many other people noted that the leather was quite hard although it never bothered me. I was going to get a leather retrim on my current Zed but I was very surprised at how good the cloth seats are. They are alot better than I thought they were going to be.
If all you want is leather seats then save your money for a retrim. The BOSE stereo system is absolutley rubbish, or mine was anyway. The cruise is useful but not a "must have".
How much is the GT pack nowadays compared to a few hundred for a retrim?
