  1. I used to have an S60 T5.. If you just want a car to eat motorway miles it was great! A big quick cruiser.

Dont get any idea of excitement or extended front tyre wear though!

Servicing prices at the dealer were just daft though, having said that, I dindnt have anything go wrong with mine.

Think you would struggle to find a 'nice' Lexus in that price range!

  2. They all do this... Makes you think theres an electrical problem when you first hear it.. But all quite normal, as above something to do with the amp getting constant power...

They made a bit of a pants job of the stereo really, sounds ok when you turn it up but other than that your better off listening to the car! :p

  3. I know this has been in another thread (I just cant find it)..

The window on the passenger side isnt dropping the little bit when you go to open the door..

Any ideas whats causing it? Is it an easy fix, should be a warranty job, just prefer to know what Im talking about before they try and fob me off with something.

All a it odd seeing it only started doing it after it went in to get the power hood sorted!.. Still at least the hood works now I guess.

  4. Running costs are not too bad.. If the car is in warranty theres one thing off your mind.

My insurance has gone down since getting one.

Petrol wise on a commute I'm getting about 27 ish to a gallon.. So not to bad at all, the super unleaded makes it a bit more pricey but not terrible if you buy from the right places.........

  5. Just put two rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050s on today.. I got them fully fitted for £290- which i thought was fairly good!
Do you find them any quieter than the 040s?

Only done about 20 miles in them today.. So a bit early to tell.. But to be honest the car feels a little lighter with them.. Cant really say its got any less road noise though.

  6. Just so you all know that i dont moan all the time... The power hood problem apears to have been sorted by the dealer, under warranty too!

In case anyone else has a problem of their roof sticking up or down, they said it was the plug that conects the passenger seat to the roof mechanisim that had come loose?

Fingers crossed your going to tell me that there is such a plug somewhere to do with the hood, and its not that they made it up!

Anyway, looks like its working ok, so time for chilly ears again!

  7. Hiya! Here was me thinking I was the only person on here with a 350 convertable!

Chesterfield has one. And Bluelady. And Max...........

    And me!

    Welcome to the forums!

Is yours brand new? If so, the running in period will be difficult as the howl at 4k only hints at what is to come!

Don't forget the rule though: if the sun is out and the temp is above 0 - the top goes down! No running around with the hood up because it is cold! That engine (and heated seats) knock out enough heat to keep you toasty :teeth:

Enjoy - we all are :yahoo: Over 2500 miles of big smiles!

Temperature above 0... People after my own heart! Never makes teh girlfreind very happy mind you!
