  1. Well, I had the motorbike out over the weekend so I'm probably overly optimistic at the moment
  2. You have to try a set of the Dunlop Sport Maxx GT I didn't much care for the understeer of the stock car so I've 235/40 fronts and 245/40 rears fitted. Totally transformed the car, they offer up insane grip. Not sure how they're wearing just yet, I'll check and get back to you. Just thought i'd share, it's a tyre not mentioned often, but shouldn't be overlooked.
  3. Did you ever get these fitted? Would be interesting to hear how you've found them in the cold.
  4. The rays will hold a 255/40 tyre safely, but it will balloon slightly and won't feel as good to drive. Probably offer up less grip too!

The above is correct. I'm not sure you can get the Pole position variants of the RE050 in this country, which is a shame but you'll still find the RE050A's a fair upgrade in both ride comfort and wet grip over the stock RE040A.
  6. Lots of information, only some of it right (rears) Old sidewall: 110.2mm, new 98.0mm (fronts) Old sidewall: 101.2mm, new 90.0mm The speedo is driven off the front axle i believe, so will be now read 3.4% faster. This means when your speedo reads 60mph, you'll now be doing 58mph (by the old speedo) As for the TC, I've 40 profile front and back on mine with no problems at all. I usually run with TC off but on my commute it's on a fair bit and there's been no change to how quickly it cuts in.

Slight cracking is fine. The RE040's wear nice and slow, but you've still 4mm on the REARS after 16,000 miles?! Mine were at the wear indicators If you want rid of them, but don't want to change tyres with tread left you could always find yourself a nice empty car park.

    So.. Tyres?

"for the better". You may have handling and roadholding confused. The RE040's are one of the best tyres to drive one, they've such stiff sidewalls they give fantastic feed back. They don't however offer up the best grip, so it's swings and roundabouts.
  9. Decided not to fit my Nismo rear wing. It's brand new and still boxed, a genuine Nismo item. Just looking to get what I paid, so £350 posted.
