  1. I too managed to push the fuel cap release button through the dash in my first ever run out, was crawling round like a **** on the forecourt in the rain to try and pull it back toward the hole and back into position - fiddly but got there eventually. Also, I'm always driving about with the indicator still flashing as it doesn;t seem to resent when i've finished turning. Having to click the button twice to unlock passenger door is a pain, especially for my girlfriend who seems to be able to pull the door handle at exactly the same time as i press the button and not be able to get into the car. usually when its raining. Some other choice of leather (cream etc) would be nice Other than that, bloody great car ! Oh, and a proper bluetooth, not the crappy factory one...
  2. Bought my BO05 TEF and jiggered the spacing for BO0 5TEF as my name is Stef ! cheap enough at £700 all in from DVLA. Saw a TVR Cerbera with almost identical BO05T EM - Nice ! my fave was on an old beemer in our village KNO88Y (KNOBBY)
  3. Yesterday evening about 6ish, looked nicely pimped up, phat alloys etc. Double wavage !!
  4. Bought mine from Lockwood & greenwood in Manchester - supremely helpful (Tony) and did the best deal on a lease I could find anywhere. Just had first 9000 service at Humphris of Oxford who were very obliging and offered to collect from my home and return back for £15 - better than taxis and cheaper too. When trying to buy a car from Dan Perkins in High Wycombe found them a nightmare to even get a test drive and rather "stuck up" attitude to negotiation - offered free delivery only, somewhat miserly when waving 30 odd grand in cash their direction. Also terrible to park anywhere close to them...
  5. Was a lease car from Honda Europe finance so it was either "fix it or get no money from me cos my car is dead" - i was paying them to maintain it also, so they were in a weak position. I think they have 3 yr unlimited on Honda's any way ???
  6. Sorry rmmackfc went for a Kuro, sunset a bit too "lively" for me. The S2000 was a lease car, thrased every day for 3 years - they were all a bit gobsmacked at Aylesbury Honda when it was towed in as they had not seen a dead one before. When I collected the "repaired" one with a brand new engine I got to see the old engine and it had a hole in the crank casing about the same size as a footprint. So, the "urban myth" about v-tec being indestructable is exactly that. Maybe i'm just one in a million. The considered verdict from the dealer was that the con rod was weak due to a manufacturing defect, not bad that is lasted 72000 before keeling over really. The mad thins is that the car went back to the lease co 2 months after the repair and then onto auction - 78K on the clock and 6k on the engine... Someone got a bargain !
  7. I'm probably being a numpty here but my factory fitted blutooth kit seems a bit crappy. Audio only comes out of the right speak only when the phone is in use and volume has to be at max (I have the Bose Stereo on the GT pack) to hear the caller. The radio works just fine, max volume will deafen you and both speakers work. Is mine knackered or has anyone else got this problem ?
  8. I just switched from an 03 S2000 to a brand new Z. Loved, repeat LOVED the S2000 (until the con rod went at 72K miles destroying the engine), just so much fun. Took me a while to get use to the Z with totally different power curve, like trying to change gear all the time like I used to in the Honda. I'm probably gonna get shot down in flames but the Z just doesn't feel as fast as the Honda (until you look away from the road and at the speedo - eek !), maybe cos it is bouncing off the redline when the Honda's just getting going. It doesn't scream like the S2000. But, I am in Love with the Nissan. They're both brilliant cars in different ways. The thing i really miss from the Honda is the massive knight rider style rev counter, why don't you get one of those on the Z. Anyway you asked about tuning - honestly can't be arsed, as it's fast enough as is. If I want to go proper scary quick I just get my Ducati out :-) ..
  9. Pretty sure this was me on the way back from the shops in MK, i don't see too many 350Z in MK area but always make a habit of waving - I'll pay more attention next time ...
