  1. Hello everyone after stupidly trading my 350z in for an "approved used" z4m, I'm desperate to return to the 350z. my z4m lasted me two months before the dealership purchased it back off me for original price. Issues included the z4m needed £1300 worth of work just two weeks after being sold it by a bmw dealer. After a long battle they got the bill, but originally they only offered half as a good will gesture. Work was completed, but it still didn't seem right. last two independant inspections both confirmed it needed a new steering rack! after just 3 years, and 20k miles? well that was the end, I got rid. purchased a vw golf gti 5 door dsg, approved used again from main dealer, and this also has been nothing but trouble! broke down on a1! air con seized, snapped my aux belt, ran out of electricity. It took them 3 weeks to fix it. I then took it for a service and cambelt change (cambelt should have apparently been done just after I purchased it but I had no idea at the time as the service book states change every 140,000 miles as opposed to the now recommended 40,000 miles!) and I get the most ridiculous phone call ever from the vw receptionist. "ah yes your car is ready if you would like to pick it up and oh yes your engine is knocking" at this point my blood pressure went through the roof, I was fuming. are these jokers for real? anyway they try to charge me £80 so they can investigate it which I kindly refuse. Another week in the dealership and they replace the hydraulic tappets? By this point I have lost any interest I had in this car. It will be going, just a case of when. give me my 350z back anyday of the week! at least nissan had some idea. these jokers have no idea. Anyone got a cherished, looked after 350z for sale? ideally I'm looking for a UK MY07 313 GT, any colour apart from orange (no offence), low mileage hopefully I'll be back soon I'd love a 370z but after losing 12k in 3 years on my 1st 350z I'd rather not commit financial suicide again
  2. thanks guys and girls I'm sure I'll be around on the forum from time to time. I'll certainly try and get to any yorkshire meets, maybe even wales Cheers
  3. After 3 years, and 71000 miles, I traded my uk 350z azure gt in for a BMW Z4M roadster. the 350z was epic, and this site helped me with many niggles/issues as well as a few mods Excellent site guys keep up the good work. Was nice meeting the yorkshire lot at the 370z test drive, great bunch of people. All the best Jon northernmunkeh

  9. hmm maybe but with the valve removed i need something that will connect two open ends
  10. has anyone got one of these spare? will pay money! failed valve, nissan dealer can't get hold of one until after my half price mot test...
  11. hmmm sounds like it will fit, but might not be worth it
  12. Has anyone done this and if so what parts are required? I'm thinking the door cards will be a straight swap the entire centre console below the headunit would be required along with all switches, heater controls, gear knob surround etc but would all this just bolt in and all that would be required would be to move the wires for the hazard lights plus heated seat controls as they seem to be in a different location? would it attach correctly below my headunit on my current pre 06 interior?
  13. sounded good m8 do you know the sunset owner as well? i've had my 350z for 3 years and done 55k miles in it and I had a massive grin too! i take it easy dude
  14. really cheered me up on my drive home from birmingham in my azure 350z - was working there, and had spent 14 hours infront of a computer. sunset goes roaring past on m42, then azure goes past too. we had our own mini 350z convoy.
  15. I was 22 when I bought mine 3 years ago
  16. 2001 onwards in a couple of years will be banded the same as 2006 onwards I believe although the government may have delayed it due to current climate
  17. yes £20k on finance my car allowance per month from work would approx cover the payments though. I guess depreciation is going to be minimal as I can't see how they can go much lower. it's a 2002 so it will be on new tax insurance costs are only £400 a year more than what I am paying for my 350z. someone talk me out of it
  18. Well I've have had the 350z for 3 years now and I'm thinking it might be time for a 911 I had a test drive in a 996 turbo - very impressed with the power - the salesman's neck nearly ripped clean off : ) however I'm struggling to weigh up the cost and if it would be worth the huge amount of extra money to both buy and run! they were asking £30,000 for it I did get quite a good trade in price - £10,000 for my azue gt, rays, fnsh, with 66000 miles Will a 911 996 turbo ruin a mere mortal financially? I'd be financing the difference to keep my savings. I'd also have to buy a warranty for some sort of cover for a huge bill. I've also been looking at 996 carrera 2, carrera 4, and carrera 4 S (with turbo wide body) but I'd definately prefer the turbo for obvious reasons : ) help!
