  1. i honestly yhink that you can, like i say, do a search o here for windscreen under the name 'Ricka' and ull see that he also had this.

I canno think what it is for though. its not GPS, ans the antenna is behind the seat, its not for the phone surely, as UK cars have that as an option but done have it. Do you have any additional buttons that you 'dont know what they do#, near your ESP button?

    :) hehe

I've got one of the other handful of Z's in Guernsey. Beeped and tried to have a chat but i was in a BMW as my Z's in the bodyshop having a few mods done too, anyway hehe it looked great buddy. Only blue one over here too. . .

PM me sometime, would be good to have a little Guernsey Z meet

  3. Im surprised, you should defo be able to get one through a dealer. . . .

i wouldn t rely just on autoglasses words to be honest. . . .

I hear a while back that JDM ones can come with a heater element in them while UK ones dont, but i have never hear of a problem getting them.

  4. Yes, the 'new' fresh paint is lighter!!

annoying as i put in so much work recently on it to get it right, just a scratch on the rear bumper, but digging out the air gun, then cleaning it and sanding etc, put in at least 8 hours work, all screwed due to paint match or lack there of

its booked into a body shop now though, and will have a nice shiny new front bumper on it soon (Aerosync) so i guess its not all bad. I just want to make sure THEY match the paint right!

Really? I thought its just add ons to the rear bumper

Thats what I thought. My guess is that it suits his reg plate better that way ;)

Plus when he comes to sell, someone isnt going to stray away from it purely because it has a JDM bumper, like you might with a standard car.

only thing I dont like is the yellow reg plate, new number plate comes tomo black and chrome :yahoo:

You are so going to get pulled over mate! Its ok though, just tempt them with gay love!

velcro backing with original one underneath... sorry officer forgot to take off,

  6. I have attemped a repair on my own car using Holt DupliColour Kuro Black spray paint and the colour has NOT matched my JDM Black Z! initially i thought it was because i had not laquered it, which i didnt think it had, i then re did it and laquered it and it STILL has not matched. The new paint actually seems 'lighter' from some angles than the original paintwork.

    Either

    1) Im really really crap at painting (im not)

2)Holt Duplicolour is not the 'no1 Paint Match' it claims to be

3)JDM Black is NOT UK Kuro Black

  7. the ECU was on ebay, but it wasnt a middlehurst special :) it was a nismo ECU which is part of the S1 tuning package, and is only supposed to work with JDM cars. I spoke to person who bought the one on ebay (i forgot to bid on it), and he has it on his UK car, seems to work ok so i believe, he was going to let me know how it went on a dyno, but it stopped his cruise control working. so, not ideal.

But the one on ebay was for JDMs only so i believe

  8. Came across this website yesterday, its got me in stiches. . .soooo funny

Having owned a few jap cars and buying a few parts from both Japan and other countries like china, i have had the pleasure of experiencing time after time, some pretty atrotious but hilarious translations

  9. Hey all

recently ive started to have some proper embarassing issues with my car. There is this very loud squeak/creak when the clutch pedal is depressed, which seems to be worse after its driven for abit. It does this stationary or moving, it doesnt matter. I can actually feel it through the pedal, though the noise is LOUD outside the car and sounds like its coming from under the bonnet low down. Havnt had a friend push it while i look for it, but i really need it sorting. . . . . It sounds almost like door creaking and happens more the the 'depress' that the release of the pedal.

Seems to have gotten progressivly worse over the 12 months ive had the car, but the clutch itself isnt slipping or anything

Looked on my350z for help but its very vague and nothing definitive.

this sounded like the issue, but there is no word on what it was exactly, apart from 'dry joint' and dealer fixed it. . . . humm clues?

    I sure hope this aint expensive . . . .

    any ideas?

  10. sorry, my link to my last thread wasnt clear, i thought i left more info than that. heres my quote from the 'other' forum: -

    HI mate

USA version will NOT work. I have already tried it. I have a genuine key for my import coming from Japan through IRS Motorsport (look em up on google, they communicate best over fax, perfect english). Sod going though Nissan Stealer.

The part number is H0564- C9923

    cost me about £80

Get the key. get it cut by a locksmith.

Take a picture of your 'BCM' box, near the fuse box , it has a label on it that you Nissan dealer can email the code to Nissan HQ in the UK and get the NATS code to program the immobiliser. Then its like 1/2 labour for nissan to program the key with your car using the 'consult II ' module in thier workshop.

Nissan West London had no problems doing this for me.

Initially i tired the USA key, which worked 'once' but then locked out when tried to start it again , which is charactoristic of the incorrect immobiliser key chip. So, next time round , with the right key, ill be laughing. . . .

The key is the ALL IN ONE KEY. as in key/fob/central locking. The one with 2 buttons on it. The one, that nissan want £260 for, and it costs £61 from japan . . . . .

    - - - - -- -- - -- - - --------

    post 2: -

A Master key, which i assume is only blade and immobiliser chip, possibly its actually the blade that goes IN with the remote fob head, is £63.40 from a UK stealer, so i guess it would make sense that if you ordered THAT from japan, on the priciing convention on jap to uk key prices, it would probably be under £20 from japan. The part number for that would be H0564-CD000.

If i were you id just order the whole thing. . .its so cheap after all.

  11. I didnt realise they did it in Urethane? Is that a replica one by any chance? So long as the quality is up there im interested.

I thought fitment on the fiberglass ones was only an issue on a particular batch? Though for durability, urethane is considered generally better right?

    thx
