  1. Parked across the road from you outside Chiswick Green Studios in my Kuro 05. Think your reg was PY04... Didn't have any cards with me!!
  2. Hey Tim, Good to know there is someone in Basingstoke. I'm actually in Chineham rather than the town centre, where abouts are you? I have a friend who swears by the Nissan dealer here for the cheapes MOTs for all his cars Might have to try and badger you for a ride if this test drive with Dan Perkins falls through. My GF tried to book another at a place in Bognor and they said it was a no go for under 25s (I'm 24), which was a shame. Dan Perkins havent said anything though, so come Wed/Thurs I should be able to get out with them. I used to live in Chineham, above the off-licence , nice place. I live just off Norn Hill now, close to the town centre. Chineham Arms used to be my local, was a great pub at the time, not sure about now. Good luck with Dan Perkins, so long as you come across genuine and able to fund a Zed I don't see why they wouldn't give you a drive, but sorry mate, I'm the only one allowed to drive my Zed...
  3. Hi Chris, I live in Basingstoke too, so I guess we'll see each other's car eventually, when you've found one that is... I bought mine privately and have had no problems with getting work done under warranty by Nissan. The Nissan place in Basingstoke is OK, but they aren't very quick in fixing problems covered by warranty. They always want to try a fix that involves no new parts to start with... Good luck with your hunt! Tim
  4. Here's a few pics of the damage. I've just realised that I've really knackered the wheel too! It's scuffed the wooden garage post somehow. I really must have been half asleep this morning! Do people think its a new wing job or would this kind of damage be repairable? I was thinking of trying to get the wheels sorted under warranty a few weeks back as all 4 have very small amounts of corrosion on them. suppose that's out the window now!! Unbelievable. Did 487 miles in it over the weekend, not a scratch. Try to get it out of the "safely tucked away garage" and this is what happens...
  5. Yeah, it's gone through the metal in a couple of places. Makes you realise how thin the paint is too! There's a bit where its just flaking off completely now... Will have to wait until I've got a quote before deciding whether or not to claim on my insurance. Got a £300 excess which is a bit of a bummer.
  6. Gutted! In a rush to get the beloved zed out of the garage, I have scrapped the front off side wing against the sharp metal strip on the garage wall. Couldn't believe it. I was going to get a quote for repair from the main dealer in Basingstoke, but should I use the Nissan garage or go for an independent body shop? I'll post a pic of the damage later, but the metal has deformed slightly and the lower side of the bumber is scrapped too...
  7. Spotted on Friday 2nd Feb in the lower car park in Basingstoke. I wouldn't park my zed in that busy part of the car park! Hope you didn't come back to any door dinks...

    age......

33, but have claimed to be 26 since I was 26. So, 26!
  9. No, not the sills. There's sometimes a few spots at the top of the window, but not very much at all. I don't remember ever seeing any running out of the sills!
  10. OK, thanks for that. There are sometimes small droplets of water inside after washing, but never very much. I'll take it back to the dealer and see what they can do. I've got a long list of things for them to look at...
  11. I also have this issue with my 05 zed. I've had the dealer look at it 4 times now. Each time they say they have "reset the mechanism" but it still does it. It is slightly better now, but still tends to happen when you cane it, particularly over a slightly bumpy surface. I can make it happen on a smooth road by lightly tapping the window at speed (90 ish). Should I be asking for a replacement regulator under warranty then?
  12. I'm getting 22mpg according to the trip computer. I guess you're unlikely to get £80 in the tank. My understanding is that it holds 80l, and it'll never be completely empty. With fuel still at less than £1/l I'd say you'd be lucky (or unlucky!) to get more than £70 in a tank. I find that the dte indicator is not very accurate and I frequently have 15l fuel left when it says 0 miles to empty! Just how far below 0 miles can you drive though before you run out and look like a dork!
  13. My 05 has been done (regreased) twice now (once each side so I'm told). Its been fine ever since and is at 13K.
  14. Well, it's been back in again. This time they have greased "the other side" and have promised that if this doesn't cure the clicking they'll replace the driveshaft completely. I've done about 500 miles this weekend and it all seems OK. I do still have my nagging electric window problem though. It sometimes drops down very slightly when I hit about 80. Anyone got a solution to this?
  15. I purchased a zed 2 weeks ago privately. 15 months old, 12k on the clock. Has started clicking as described in this thread. Dealer has had a quick look and has it booked in for next Monday to remedy the problem. Said it may need regreasing or possibly replacement of the bearing... Is it dangerous for me to drive it in the meantime? Will post when I have got it fixed! OK, got the car back today, Nissan have fixed the annoying clicking noise and the car feels great. When I asked them if they had replaced anything or just regreased, they said that no replacement parts were required as the parts on my vehicle weren't affected by the "common problem" found on the driveshaft bearing. They said that the code number on the driveshaft identifies to them if it is affected by the problem or not. This suggests to me that Nissan may have acknowledged this problem internally, but don't want to publicly announce the fact... They've also fixed my annoying window problem. It used to drop down a fraction when I hit about 80 after hard acceleration. Fingers crossed it stays fixed! Another pic of said zed attached as its had a good clean now Tim Oh dear. After the grand total of 4 miles, the driveshaft has started clicking again. Just called the dealer who said "that'll be because its been wet. Water must have got in and washed the grease out" I then pointed out to him that it hasn't been out in the wet and has done 4 miles since they fixed it. Its going in again tomorrow morning. I'm starting to become annoyed.
