  1. Just a quick question to those with the BT adapter. Do you take it out at night if it's not garaged or when parking for the day or do you leave it in the car? If you do take it out does it keep your voice dialling tags? Sorry to ask such a stupid question but it's really the only thing that could quickly be taken from the car if window smashed and is worth a bit of cash!! Cheers!
  2. Hello!! Only had mine for 48hrs, it's great!! . My mate is thinking of a TVR so any views on the differences would be very interesting indeed. Get the discount codes from the mods/admins if you are going to get any accessories, it is WELL WORTH IT!!!
  3. Only had mine for about 48hrs now although haven't heard those sorts of noises. If you've got time I'd take it down the dealers just for the service staff to have a listen. If nothing wrong at least it'll put your mind at rest and an end to any sleepless nights! Thats what they are there for.....use 'em and don't get fobbed off if it sounds like they don't know or give you some strange excuse!! Might be worth using the highest RON fuel you can for a few days to see if the exhaust sounds mellow a bit.
  4. Firstly thank you to Mike, Liam, Jacko, lomoto, prescience, TheMinel and Sarnie for all your help and welcome to me . It made the decision to carryon and buy a 350Z far less painful and worry free than it could of been if I had just asked the Dealer questions (none of which they would of answered convincingly if my experience is anything to go by!) Took her out for a quick spin earlier, and have discovered a possible problem. I think there is a link between high fuel consumption and the accelerator.... although still checking this out! I can't get over how many people still stand and stare at the motor when I go by. Neighbours who have never spoken to me in 3 years come up and have a chat about the car and how cool it looks!! I do agree with them on this point!!!! The engine sounds phenomenal, and you can tell by the ride quality it is an all round great car. I sometimes have to keep telling myself to keep an eye on the road, as passing other cars it's fun to look at their reactions!! All for a car thats been around for coming up to 3 years! Lucky Nissan made the wise move of not flooding the market I say. Thats to everyone for a great site, and to the discounts you can get with codes from the Admin/Mods!! I have already put these to good use and am very greatful indeed! Will try and get some pics up when the weather sorts itself out!! Keep up the good work/public service this site is doing, I am recommending it to all my mates that have suddenly found an interest in buying a new car!!!
  5. And there was me trying to be polite!!!! I knew I'd get dragged into this!!!!
  6. Think I can sense some ribbing that may of occurred to an owner of Sunset orange happening here! So as new won't comment on your suggestion for a new unofficial colour name!!
  7. Ooops. Brown eh??? Must of been the light!!!!
  8. Hello to you Sarnie, to end the banter I have bought a blade silver Z. I know it's not as colourful as your prime specimen but it was that or the rusty orange (can't think what they call it now) or red (not sure what they call that either!) Not saying there is anything wrong with these colours though! Just liked the silver a little better.
  9. Just incase someone is interested (and a little away from the thread, sorry won't happen again) Auto Express magazine is having a road test with the new BMW Z4M, Cayman S and the 350Z for who in their opinion is 'King of the Coupes'. The issue is on sale wednesday 16th Aug. Not sure what will happen in that tussle. Thanks again
  10. Sweet. Made my mind up. Will see him thursday and get the warranty details out and discuss all things covered, then, if as metioned above will take it out for the time I'm looking at keeping the Z. It's reassuring to talk to people who know whats needed as the dealership doesn't seem too bothered! Thanks again to everyone for their help!
  11. Cheers for that. I've seen some posts on that subject earlier today when browsing. I think I'll ask if it's possible to take out the extended warranty after the garages 6 months?? Thats if theirs covers the stereo etc. If not might go for 12 months as otherwise might ruin the experience of owning if problems pop up after a short time!
  12. Oooops. Yep sorry, thats all included as you'd expect. The way he worded it was to say the list above was an area most other extended warranties perhaps didn't include. Might of been BS'ing me.
  13. Great news!! Cheers Liam and M13KYF!! The warranty he was trying to get me to take out covered: AC Seats (electrics) All dasboard electrics ECU ABS Electric door mirrors BOSE stereo... etc and all labour cost which he quoted would otherwise cost £75 per hour. Have 3 month Nissan original warranty left, and have dealership warranty for 6 months anyway from pick up.
  14. Last question really as a follow up to M13KYF mentioning of the bluetooth for the phone. Is it easy to fit or best doing it through the dealer, if it can be fitted to a '53' plate????
  15. Thank you, I will check when I go on thursday taking this nugget of information with me. ~Although will probably try and talk to another salesperson instead of the guy I'm dealing with!! The car has done 24000 miles so knowing my luck might still have the old tyres on!!!!!?????
  16. Hello to everyone first off as I am a new joiner to 350Z-uk! Second some advice is sought after reading some of the forum topics! I am getting a second hand 350Z GT on thursday, it's a '53' plate and I have noticed some posts pointing to a problem with the front tyres . As I have put the deposit down and have final payment thursday I feel a little uneasy and hope it doesn't extend to all '03 Z's? The car is UK. The dealer did phone me up today to ask if I wanted to buy an extended warranty 1(£299),2(£399) or 3yrs(£499). Do you think this is worth it/a good idea? I don't have much faith in the saleman as I asked him which cradle was in the car (nokia) he said it would be difficult to find out which of the two it was and might not get an answer for me (surely there is a way to check??) Also other gaffs on his behalf have given me a the impression he doesn't know the answers and is even less willing to be bothered to find them out! This is a Nissan Dealership!!!! Luckily the questions I have asked I have managed to sound like I know what I'm talking about due to reading these forums, perhaps I should get him to read them too!! Anything else you can advise me on to ask him/standard problems would be great aswell!!! Thanks for your time in reading this post!!!
