  1. My parents get a new motor home delivered on Monday.

My dad ordered the Alloy wheels option and was wondering about the spare wheel.

When you get the alloy option is the spare wheel normally an Alloy as well?

If it isn't another issue comes up that the steel standard wheel is a slightly different size to the alloy ones and is it legal to use different sized wheels in the event of a flat?

  2. i think i'll put these on ebay, because it seems nobody on any forum can understand want ono means. its also got tyres. nevermind.

+1 Ebay is the best place to find their true market value :)

I should put a reserve on them though ;)

A quick ebay tip for you...

Don't pay to add a reserve to your items, email a friend and ask them to bid whatever you want the reserve to be, then if it doesn't make it, you'll have sold the item to them and not have to go through with the transaction.

    ;)

But wont you have to pay the sellers fee then?

  3. How much is a respay on a front bumper?

depends you are looking anywhere between £120 to £60,000 if you want it diamond studded platinum B)

Cool, where can you get dimond studden platinum from???

I was just wondering how much to respay my severely chipped front bumper on a GM?

You should be looking at around £200 is what I've been told. Depends if you know anyone to get it for you cheap and what your haggling skills are like :)

If you live near ESR phil does a price you cant argue with...

I am right on the south coast, let me guess, phil is hundreds of miles away? ;-)

  4. It cost £95 for the 2 dents minus the discount money well spent i think :teeth:

I gad my wheels repaired by chips away on Tuesday and he did an absoutely excellent job, said his colleauge could get by passenger door dent out for £50, quite tempted.

the dent was cause at a tesco, surprise surprise the culprit never left a note.

  5. Thanks all, if Carcomm cannot tell me how to fit their own damn products together then I'll look out one of these.

Try this link for fitting instructions:

Thanks but sadly not. Look at the image above. The vent clip is on the left, and on the right is the swivel attachment for the PDA holder itself. There is no way that I can see that they can be attached to each other. The screws on the vent mount are if you need to swap the vent fittings for the others that come in the box (hence 'universal') and the only other way I can see to afix anything to it might be to do with those two little extra plastic clips shown in the pic. Honestly baffled.

Can you not unscrew the plate on the vent clip and screw the holder on directly?

  6. I have to brodit clip with my orbit 2 with the power and audio cable coming through the cubby hole under my stereo.

I also bought a splitter so my phone charges and the audio plugs into the aux in my stereo.

This means when I am making a phone call or using sat nav the sound comes through my car stereo speakers.

Not sure what you mean by a splitter - when a call comes through the UK car's phone system automatically cuts the audio and if I have the sat nav displaying on the Xda that then it is overidden by the caller dsplay until the call ends and it all reverts back. I do have double aux charging socket which serves the phone cradle and the snooper (lead from the rear socket) , keping the front in-car socket free for other things - lap-top etc.

Ah, I have an after until HU, so I cant use the bluetooth.

I have an adaptor, one end plugs into the phone and it splits so I can plug in power and a 3.5mm jack. The jack then plugs into the aux in my stereo.

Is much like this apart from one is 3.5mm and one is usb min:

  7. Posted this before but I have found the Brodit kit good - I have an extended power lead from rear socket tucked under carpet alongside driver's seat - out of sight and all easily removed with no marks/damage left
