I always hand wash and polish as usual with no problems and it always 'comes up nice'. The only thing I dont do is use a pressure washer on it. Although Tom at Paintshield might like to comment on that?

Yep, you have a point. Has anyone out there had refurbs and if so have the problems stayed at bay or come back? I think i'll take some photos for myself and take the issue further once the dealer comes back to me after they've got warranty 'go ahead' from Nissan. Also, mine are the Rays alloys which came as standard when I got mine. Perhaps the 5 year cover is provided by Rays and not Nissan ??????

Is this true? My Rays are bubbling on all 4 Thats what my dealer indicated, but I would check before kicking up. I suggest a phone call to a Nissan dealer or email their customer services from their website.

Sorry guys. Its been a long (LONG) wait but finally here they are. My 350 immediately after being done !

In my case, the corrosion is showing as a collection of bubbles under the paint & laquer finish. There is no colour change since it is under the finish and not yet broken through, much like when you have rust on a body panel from the inside. I will post a photo as soon as I can.

I've just come back from the dealer after seeing them regarding corrosion on my Rays too. My 350 is on an 06 plate and is a couple of weeks over 1 year old. I have corrosion showing of 3 spokes on one rear, 2 spokes of other rear and 1 spoke of one front. I've been told the wheels are covered under a 5 year warranty? Anyway, my dealer has taken photos to provide to Nissan for the warranty claim. They have told me that ALL wheels will be sent away to be refurbished. I will keep you posted as to what happens. One thing if for sure though, its not very good. Just a year old and only 5 and a bit k on the clock.

Yep, your right! Mine is 300 rising to 400 next year 'cos its on an 06 plate regostered after march 2006 ! Damn, knew I should have bought it sooner!!!

Sorry mate, but your road tax is now £300 !!! Paid for mine a couple of weeks ago. Big thanks to the government for that ! I actual polute more in the family 1400cc car because it does more miles. So much for a 'green tax' hey !

Spent today down at PaintShield, Grantham getting the complete front end of my new 06 metallic black 305Z GT 'done'. Bumper, sills, mirrors, full bonnet and (new) full wings. A big job but a superbly done and such friendly geniune people too. Took some photos - to follow once I get them off the camera. Although, has to be said that you'll probably not see the paintshield though. Going to drop by again end next week so they can tweak any bits needing attention due to what they call 'silvering' because of the black paint. Definately recommend the treatment - you really cant tell its on there unless you get real close up and go looking for it. Having the full bonnet and the new full wings (second 350Z in europe and poss the world as pattern so new) means no edges across the paintwork - and believe me, nothing to see. Also gloss is great and no loss of colour either. Warrenty sounds good and I really cant see these guys letting us down if we have any problems. Thanks to you all at PaintShield . Cheers, Ian

Hi, just got my new 2006 model . Sales blurb and all internet specs say integrated bluetooth on coupe. Just cant see/find it and SatNav manual appears to imply not present (Sat nav manual also covers Pathfinder etc. and details bluetooth but not for 350). Scan from my phone and nothing is detected. Anybody any ideas before I get back to the dealership ?

Hi to you all..... Not a 350Z bod yet !! New 06 model due to arrive early June. Full spec GT with SAT in black - got to be black ! Cant wait.... the weeks and months have been dragging on since placing the order. I've looked at some of the threads and i've been speaking with Tom at Paintshield. Is the general consensus that I should definately get it done ! Has anybody had any bad experiences with the stuff ? Can you see the edge line if you dont get full bonnet cover ? Also considering the RAC Trackstar (but not from Nissan - rip off). Anybody anything to say about that ? Cheers, Ian.
