  1. Do you mean the window regulator? If so, yes we can get...... let me know Drew a blank on this one. Chris Hi Chris, thanks for getting back to me. The window switch is the small box of electronics right under the window switches / door lock switch on the drivers side. (Approx 5cm x 3cm x 10cm with 1 connector block, exposed circuit board on top. 'Power Window Main Switch' seems to be the manual description.) If you can get one of these, please let me know the cost. Regards, Andrew.
  2. cobblers - mine was a 2002 and had a reset switch - it was covered by a circle of thin brown plastic though, needed to be peeled back to reveal the reset switch on the motor No, seriously, I've had the door panel off and removed the blanking plastic- no switch where there should be one according to the reset procedure notes & diagram. Nothing like consistency... In any case, the procedure needs a working window switch! Looks like the controller is the problem.
  3. Hi Chris, Not sure what you currently have available, but could you let me know if you can help with the following for my 2003 JDM: Window control unit (electronics box right under the window switches) Tailgate gas struts N.B. My Z has the Nismo rear spoiler, so I'll need the 'uprated' versions I've seen mentioned in other posts. The existing struts are borderline and just fail to hold the 'gate up. UK dealer has proved useless, and wants me to take a second mortgage for the standard UK spec items. Thanks, Andrew
  4. Hi guys, my first post on the forums - shame it's about a fault! My JDM (2003) is suffering the window auto-drop problem on the drivers door. On further investigation the control unit appears to be the issue and it's getting worse While out of the housing, if I move the unit it causes sporadic window movement, or fails to operate at all when using the switch. The 'door open' contact is OK. I know the window setup on early JDM cars differs from UK spec (there is no 'reset' switch on the motor, for example), so reluctant to fork out £hundreds to a UK dealer for a new unit that might not work. Does anyone have a source for JDM spares? Happy to take a used part (as long as it works!!!) Alternatively, control unit itself looks pretty complex, but could attempt repair if anyone has positive experience in this area? Thanks, Chalky Great drive, shame about the quality control...
