  1. One of the benefit's of TT upgrades compared to supercharging is the off-boost fuel consumption is the same as a n/a car. When the ecu is programmed after the TT install EVERY point in the map is optomised. Torque and bhp increases are great, but all the part throttle load points are also optomised. The easiest way to explain the improvement cruising at 80mph in top gear at 2700rpm on the motorway for example. In order to overcome rolling resistance/aero drag etc.. the engine may have to produce 100bhp for example. The standard car may produce 100bhp at 45% throttle, whereas the re-programmed vehicle may produce 100bhp at 35% throttle. At part throttle at 2700rpm the engine is not on boost with a TT - so these improvements are quite realistic. This is one point in the map with 10% better economy - and these changes happen to a varying degree at EVERY point in the map. Obviously a supercharged car is always on boost. Once the engine is on boost the map must be run a little richer than n/a - so your economy will suffer. If your TT has very bad fuel economy it is an indication of a less than average install. I'm not surprised the Baptist TT can't believe the numbers, as the (now defunct) company that mapped his car did not have anyone working there that understood how to programme ecus - as evidenced by their record of being the only European company to completely destroy a 350Z TT engine. Happy to get your oil changed there instead - go for it.
  2. Cost of the warranty is xxx per year, provided the vehicle is serviced in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Servicing must be done at an authorised Nissan 350Z dealer, or WRC Technologies. Complete vehicle inspection will be carried out when the TT is installed to ensure the vehicle is compliant - and given how new the cars are we don't foresee any problems arising.
  3. We evaluated all of the 350Z TT options, and maintain that APS is the most thoroughly engineered package. In order to offer a complete warranty on the package we must be confident that the parts fitted will be durable and capable for the life of the vehicle - as the warranty is renewable for up to 5 years and 100,000 miles. The APS TT package is the only one that fits the bill in my opinion. We are the largest APS dealers in the UK (based on 2005 APS figures), and remap around 30-35 vehicles per month on the dyno. It is my belief (and that of our underwriters) that any engine failure if it occurs will be a direct result of the ecu programming work on the vehicle - and as such, will be a slim chance at WRC Technologies. However, if the worst does happen, you do not have to put your hand in your pocket for anything - including vehicle recovery costs, and courtesy car costs while your 350Z is being repaired. Hope this helps, Chris Davies

  5. Rate is based on 3 year term - can do up to 5 years if you want to bring the payments down - but it is a loooooong time Typical APR is 9%, but does vary depending upon loan term. For full details contact Allan on 08709-911-797. Chris Davies Technical Director WRC Technologies Ltd.
