  1. I'll still be acquiring bits and pieces along the way, and may share bits as we go all in the interests of keeping people interested. Likewise, I'll show the items as I get them done and changed too.

Photos wise, I'm also fine with, am taking them regularly anyway.

As for the guide, that's what comes of having competed. You ain't seen nothing yet!! Might even do a Ming vs H5 Special Edition (chromed of course!!! ;) ) for the occasion.

Is it wrong for this to be so much fun??? lol :D

  2. Hi mate

If you are buying one of these I guess I am beat and I will give in now :surrender:

    I got better ideas LOL

    Ming the Mad

Better ideas on an oil cap?? Man, you're not going to have one painted are you, I'd have to give in immediately then........ :bleh:

    Touche :p

Nope got another idea but I gotta source out an old friend first ;)

    Keep you posted

    Ming the ideas man

Yeah, I'm still trying to find those guys that can chrome oil. Then I'll just drive around with no oil cap on at all. B)

This is clearly a long-term project and perhaps both of you will be reluctant to post your advances before 'Judgement Day'

Is it possible to base the contest both on coursework (as against the current educational FAD) and a final exam - to keep us mortals interested ( I want to be intrigued for the next 12 months ...)

Perhaps a 2-monthly vote with each one contributing 10% with 40% as a final tits out reveal :)

I don't have a big problem with that at all. Although votes counting towards the final result could be a problem as I tend to plan, acquire and clean and then finally add all in one go....... But you will get a laminated, step by step guide showing what has been done to the car! :D

  4. Sarnie WTF

You can't sell it b4 we meet you

    Why not?

Got my test drive booked for the Z4M next week :yahoo: Getting a bit bored already.........

    You cannot be serious..... :angry::wacko:

    Why not

Where do you start with the BMW comments??? ;)

You think you've had people pull out in front of you because of indicators on the Zed, wait until you're in a Zim Zimmer. Never get let out!!

BTW, saw the funniest thing on the way to work on Friday. Guy in a 2006 318/320 d (single exhaust ;) ) with wee man syndrome. Oh, 'delete badge option' had been ticked on the order form and in it's place was.....................???????

  5. This time next week I should be able to comment on Dan Perkins Slough as I'll have had a P2 service done and they'll have fixed my non functioning Bose CD player....won't they?!

    They replaced mine.

  6. I use Dan Perkins Slough and they've been very good so far with me. Patient regardless of questions, always listen and normally comes back clean. On balance, would say I'm happy with their service.

  7. Sorry H5 but it's not your fault. How are they trying to wriggle out of it - House Insurance route???

Technicalities on cover note times. The car had been added to another policy I've got (for another car, not the Zed) and was on temporary notes. They're arguing timings atm. To be honest, it's looking like I won't be claiming at the moment........

And yes the Zed is Cat 1 as far as I know.

If it stays at Silverstone then its about 1 hr 45 away for me and looks good enough to make a weekend of it.

    It gets my vote.

    The Minel

Does the site have a club get together for this! It would be great to meet a few faces at the same time?

Where abouts in the country are you mate. It just says England??

    Good for me.

Val, can we get a 350Z-UK stand at Trax for next year.......??

Down south, about and hour and a half from Silverstone.

  9. I've got to provide them with wheels for them to move it. When they found it they used wheel skates which involves jacking (or lowering off the bricks!) the car onto little moveable beds.

So, I need to find three wheels (spare still in the car) to move it, and give them the keys. Joy.

Surely this should be the insurance companies responsibility???

I was thinking exactly the same , what do we pay the premium for??...just this sort of scenario

You would've thought so but they're doing everything in their power to not help or pay out at the moment. So it falls on me while the Financial Ombudsman pick up my case.

I've really upset someone in a former life!!
