  2. Recieved on Thursday from one of the women at work, hit my door whilst parking up !!

I went down fearing the worse ( caved in front end headlight wing etc.. ) but all there was was a scratch down the door.

Unfortunatley its creased the metal, so thats a new Door to you sir

Bodyshop quote is just shy of 3 grand !!

    Poor little thing :(

    :scare:

  3. Im alive .....(just been dead busy with work etc .. )

Yep I swopped my seats out, the ones I picked were Recaros out of a Civic of all things.

All you need then is some subframes, I used Bride subframes imported from Japan, they needed a little alteration but I got them in in the end,

recaro also do make them but being recaro they cost muchos dollar....

All you need to do then is to get rid of your airbag warning light , this bit is easy, as all you need is a 2.2 ohm resistor from maplins .

    Pics attached ..

  4. I have a Sony in mine seems to fit fine, any 7" screen should go,

The Farenheight has the advantage of being touch sensative I believe which would be handy if your considering in car pc

  5. You cant get a OE Steering Wheel Adapter off the shelf, mine is a custom unit designed for Alpine head units and works a treat :teeth:

You can get PAC systems from the states, but they utilise an IR eye method of controlling the head unit .

The Extra wires you see in the loom are for the integrated hands free kit, and the steering wheel remote.

These arent options on US cars ( for which the loom kits are probably designed for )

  6. For Mine I used Bride Subframes, for the Z33 (around £70 each ), as the bolt holes do line up with the recaros ( and with Recaros deigned for Honda at any rate ).

Do disable the air bag light you just need a 6p resistor from Maplins

  7. so in a nut shell.......... if i buy the leads that rob quads is on about.... buy the facia conversion kit....... a new head unit of my choice........ and speakers..... bobs ur uncle..??

    Indeed

    Roberts your Fathers Brother

You may have to fiddle with the wiring to the speakers as well :)

  8. That will be me then ..

Is your head unit Bose or normal ?

If it is Bose there is a lot more work involved as you will have to replace all your speakers as well as your head unit !

If its a none Bose model it will be a lot easier .

A Facia Adapter is about 15$ off ebay, and you need an autoleads wiring adapter ( the one for a new shape micra ! )

Combine these 2 with a new head unit of your choce and your good to go ,..

Alpine Pioneer and Kenwood do very nice Double din full screen head units that wil fill that gap nicely !

    Hope this helps

    Steve
