  1. So I've had a quote from Torque GT for the work to be done from the health check carried out this week. They offer the Fujitsubo exhaust on offer at the moment, made for high performance Jap cars. I've heard a couple of cars with it fitted to whilst I was there and it's a smart rumble without being a boy racers dream! The website says no cabin drone while driving, suits me fine. Once these jobs are carried out, I should be fine for the mot, fingers crossed.
  2. I'm so impressed with Torque GT in Devon. They have carried out a health check on this car today. An hour and all of these points covered. Found the oil low, topped it up. Found an airbag light fault, reset it and no extra charges for doing both. I need new bushes as these are shot and need a new exhaust from the cats back. A nice stainless one I think!
  3. Awesome clean up to the leathers. I need to do this job. The car looks amazing in the meet up pics!
  4. Think I've saved a fortune on not having to buy new headlights! Machine polished my existing ones tonight with a drill attachment and some G3 cutting compound. I'm loving this car and what I can achieve with it. I'm certainly no mechanic but willing to give it a try.
  5. Modded look, not molded! Thanks autocorrect 😑
  6. Hey Olly, thanks again mate. I love the way the car is looking now. Lots of little jobs to do. Changed the front wiper arms, as someone decided to snap both for the previous owner! Has anyone got 6x little plastic covers that go over the rear lights fixing points please? The aftermarket lights had different shape covers.
  7. Just a quick update today. More modifying back to standard! Someone might want my old lights for a motorsport or molded look. I bought these original lights from Olly on here, thanks so much buddy, they are awesome condition.
  8. Had another 5 mins spare, so had a go at the passenger door. It has lots of heavy marking and scratches. I was surprised at how much disappeared from such a short going over.
  9. The result of a quick going over. Looks like the paint will come up good once I get chance to spend a day polishing properly.
  10. A couple pics of examples of how bad the paint is for faint scratches, swirls and marks. Had a quick 5 mins of putting an attachment in my drill to use G3 cutting paste.
  11. Hi Olly, found the Maguires odour neutraliser. So I'll give that a spray this week after more of a clean out.
  12. Had a spare couple of hours this afternoon, so more cleaning needed. Seats came out because they're knackered! Gives me a chance to hoover and clean the carpets properly. The steering wheel was/ is so manky with gunge. Loads of cleaning and it still needs more doing. The plastics came up nice and the smell of smoke reduces with each clean.
  13. Bloody hell, looks pristine compared to my messy thing! Love these in yellow, a rare beast!
  14. Hey buddy, yes you're right about the arches. I've scraped the mud from the arch lip. I need to remove the liners and clean thoroughly. Yes please on the rear lights! Those ones are not my cup of tea. I will dm you about them. Very good of you to offer.
  15. Took the decent alloy off the front, ready for new tyres. It's got tyres from 2011 and 2013 on presently! Whilst the car was jacked up a bit, thought I'd get some shots underneath as I've not seen under yet. If anyone sees something is bad or wrong, please let me know and I'll add it to the long list! The W brace doesn't look very clever.
  16. Cheers buddy. Yeah imagine driving straight off, you'd soon know about it! My Mrs says the new wheel has arrived! More car playing later if the weather is good.
  17. All back together and a second wash. This car is filthy dirty. Been a smokers car, so the inside is disgusting at the mo. No polish products applied yet, I will give it a machine mop to see what we have paint wise. Fingers crossed it comes up well.
  18. Yesterday I took off the awful cone filter and pipework. It led down to the bottom of the front bumper for the cone. It could suck up any amount of water down there. Had to remove the front bumper that much to extract the cone and pipework. On went a lovely OEM airbox, with a HKS air filter coming in the post this week.
  19. Shocking state of those! See the crack on the spoke. Hence no driving yet.
  20. So happy to see this badge! Always wanted a GT4, never thought I'd get one.
  21. I managed to find two really good seats even before getting the car home. Just need some leather care products applying to protect them.
  22. Hi guys, Thought I would document the life of owning my GT4. Just bought it a week ago from a salvage auction site, no viewings, just online bidding. Luckily I won and had it transported home. As you can imagine, there is a list as long as my arm of bits to tidy and sort. I've been very lucky that the engine sounds as it should do. Not driven it yet as a front alloy has a crack in it. There's a replacement coming this week. A few photos of how I saw it to bid on!
