  1. what’s up fellas, so I’m doing my gallery gaskets on my 08 Z, and I took my timing cover off and marked where the nick was on the crankshaft and then I cranked the crankshaft it until it was on the mark. However, cam sprockets are both off just slightly and both need to be turned a tooth clockwise. Also, before when i still had the timing cover on and hadn’t done anything yet, I was trying to take off the crankshaft bolt, and I turned the crankshaft counterclockwise probably a total of 30 degrees maybe even less. But I also heard like a very faint click or two. Wondering if that might’ve been the chain. What should I do? I’ll attach pictures to show how the cam sprockets are just slightly off. Wondering if I should take off the primary chain, attach a chain wrench to the cam sprockets chain and just pull it clockwise until it’s perfectly in line? I’ve only pulled the timing cover off, valve covers are still on and I’d prefer not to take them off as I’ve already done the valve cover gaskets. appreciate anybody’s help or insight! - max
  2. I honestly just gave my entire clutch kit to the shop and they did the rest. They did it quick and for a good price so I imagine it was a pretty lazy job. I doubt they cleaned anything, and probably just threw the new parts on and called it a day. You get what you pay for lol. im also not quite sure if my new parts came with grease on them. I remember the clutch plate being dry, but not sure about the new flywheel because it was wrapped in plastic. I’ll take it to a shop later today and I’ll have them try and clean it out. I really hope it fixes my issue because if not I’ll probably have to drop the transmission again. thanks again for the help - Max
  3. Hey Ben, Just installed a new stage 3 clutch kit with a heavy duty CSC and light flywheel. Had very similar problems as you. Lots of vibrations and shuttering in the cabin when taking off in 1st or reverse. Smoked the clutch reversing into my driveway too… it’s just hard taking off since it vibrates so much and bites so late. ended up installing a new master slave cylinder myself, bled the entire system myself too. Pedal feels good but however it still vibrates like crazy when taking off in 1st or reverse. Car has about 50 miles since installation of everything. im wondering if I should have a shop do the same thing with compressed air in the bell housing. I also was curious if they were able to do it without dropping the transmission? Or do you need to take everything apart just to clean most of it?
