Just fitted this exactly that kit this weekend, what do you want to know? I haven’t driven with it yet.

I got one to keep oil temps down on track, plus the increased oil capacity - Just for peace of mind.

Go thermostatic, else the oil may not get up to temp during daily driving (especially in cooler weather).

No issues with the kit, I mounted mine pipes facing up as I was concerned about trapped air. Big braided lines take some man-handling to route nicely, and lots of zip ties / foam tape to make sure they aren’t coming into contact with anything as they snake into the engine bay.

No instructions which was annoying, nor torque specs. I believe (double check this yourself) I did the sandwich plate to 35ftlb with a dab of red loc-tite to ensure it doesn’t unscrew when changing filter.

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the info, way more than I could’ve asked for 👍🏼. I will be doing some road driving so as you say a thermostatic would be more beneficial. I think I will be ordering myself one.

Would you be able to drop a response after a could of drives to let me know how you get on?

Hopefully may see you on track next year :)

    Thanks again, Jay.

  2. Just a good deal I thought I’d let you all in on.

I’ve seen a thread on here with a link at way above this price but I ordered the below motor off eBay and it works a treat (so far).  My front washer motor decided to give up which is a common problem.

That’s the link incase it can help anybody, £8.45 delivered.

Hope this save someone a few ££ which can go towards fuel ;)

  4. Hello people,

Is anybody running a Mishimoto Oil Cooler?

I’m thinking of adding one to my car, I would like to try and get it round some tracks next year and wondering how much it could benefit. (My car is only driven weekends anyway).

Also, have people fitted it themselves, I am no mechanic but love giving everything a go to learn before giving it somebody else.  It does say difficulty 3/5 which doesn’t seem too bad.

Would it be better to get a Thermostatic or non-thermostatic cooler? It will be used on the road too.

Thanks in advance for any responders :)

  5. Happy to have you around the forum.  I’m not the most knowledgeable guy, had a 350Z for just under a year now but always happy to try help.  Can say I was waiting for one for a couple years and never had so much fun since purchasing.  So many people builds on here to look at and aspire to.  So many helpful people in this community to help you too.  Good luck in your search :)

  6. Hi All,

So a problem decided to develop unfortunately out of the blue, and hopefully someone can give me some advice.

My driver side mirror glass will adjust up and down Like normal but will NOT adjust left to right.  My passenger works perfectly fine. I have a 2004 Nissan 350Z GT with the power folding mirrors.

Any advice would be great :)

    Thanks

    Jay

    I've said this 1000 times...

    Here's 1k+1

Make sure NOTHING is under the seat. Not a solitary empty tin of red bull.

    Then do the airbag reset...which is;

Insert key, turn to pre ignition, wait until airbag light goes out then instantly turn the key completely towards you..

Repeat this 4 more times and you're reset. No sh1t under the seat and it should then stay off.

Just had this problem, saw your post and worked so far.  Thank you very much :)
