Another question, what is behind the drivers side of the front under tray? I had no choice but to run over what I think was a red brick at approx. 40mph tonight The tray was already cracked but I think it may have caved in a bit where the mark from said brick is. No noticeable change but it was a big hit.

Yep they are the frost seats, they grew on me quickly! I'll try that soon then I suppose see what happens.

Finally got myself a 350z, after a lot of searching and patience! Grey 08 HR with 66k. Transmission is quite noisy and I suspect clutch or flywheel does that sound about right? Clutch is very high, and it rattles when clutch is out/clunks a bit putting power down sharply or changing gear slightly harshly. Had my first blast tonight and I'm obsessed (after spending 6 hours with the polish and wax, clay bar to follow in a few months I think).

Been to see it and drive it, dealers pdi came back all ticks no comments. Mechanical bits all seem great, Nissan dealer stamps but only later small services show up on the Nissan system.. the big thing that makes me want to haggle down is, as mentioned above, rust. Centre bolt in cross member is heavily rusted (the one that holds the exhaust in of it falls?). Heat shield underneath exhaust at front is rusted through, small patches of heavy rust in the engine bay like down in front of the belts, on some bolts like the shock mounts... It's clearly been living somewhere close to salt water even though the exterior/interior are near flawless. How big a deal is the rust on these? Is it a case of new panels for a few hundred each? Or is it a case of the car is condemned, even with good mechanical/oily bits?

I think I just need to be more patient for the time being then! Something good will come along.

Thanks folks, it's a UK model, so I'd imagine it's what you're saying and is GT without the wheels, unless somebody has gone to all the bother of fitting the electric seats?

I've found a stunning Z close by, in my ideal colour and at 40k miles. It has leather/electric/heated seats (no mention of cruise control or Bose in description) but not the forged Rays. I was wondering if this would be the GT pack, and if this is much different to a GT model? My thoughts based on info here are no, and that all I'd need to do for my personal preference of making it "GT" is get ahold of a set of Rays?

Update: I'm generally looking for something lower mileage (under 60 would be ideal, undr 80ish is more realistic I suppose). Pre-HR GT pack is preferable but not essential. Quite flexible on budget, mainly looking for a mechanically sound car and would like to have it on a ramp to have a look underneath before buying. I don't know if this is an unusual request, but I've been advised to watch out for things such as any lower arms/bushings that might be on their way out.
