  1. A bit random, but does anyone have an OEM backbox handy they could measure for me please and provide the dimensions, for it to fit in a box?

Trying to source a box big enough to courier one in but the exhaust is at a friends garage and I can't get hold of him

VERY debatable if these kits actually do anything. Look nice though.

If you think you have a grounding issue causing issues then clean all the current grounding points first - Nissan kindly built the cars to work well without need for extra grounding straight out the factory ;)

Yeh I've read a lot of discussion on them to be fair and completely understand the reason behind the arguement!

Will be cleaning up the ground points as I go along anyway, but we've got some 4AWG at work just going spare so I thought I'd make a set up just to rule any grounding issue out :)

  3. Does anyone have any links or saved pages, or even hard copies of an installation guide for a grounding kit for the DE?

I know they have mixed reviews, but I'm currently making my own kit up to attempt to sort out a hesitation problem around 1.5k revs. I've read about bad earthing contributing to problems like these so just gonna give it a go.

I've searched the forum but all I can find are broken/deleted links.

    Cheers

Congrats! You win the top prize of being my go to guy/gal when I get stuck with my car lol. I’m not the most competent when it comes to DIY/car stuff lol. I’ll keep my eye open for you on the Littleton roundabout on the A350 if you go to work that route

 I'm not overly great myself mate but I'm happy to get stuck in when my car isn't needed for a couple of days :) If by Littleton you mean Semington then yes, keep an eye out!

  5. Yeh I did have to prise them off, cleaned them up and lined them up with the stainless one. Bit of a mish but we'll see how it pans out

Oh I didn't realise, I thought they were for fast road use  too late now I guess...at least they'll be easier to come back off if I have any issues

Thanks for your help mate :teeth: Out of curiosity, where can I buy these shims from? Is it weird that they're not already with the pads and bonded to them?

As well as the pins, R clips and the spring plate, all that you require with the DS2500 pads are the anti squeal shims which you will have to purchase separately if you want to fit them.

Ah bugger, ok thanks Alex much appreciated.

I assume the stainless shim is anti squeal? I've ended up building them together with the other shim that was on the original pads now, like so. Think this is acceptable or no?

  7. Quick question guys: sorting the rear brakes out (Brembos) and **** me it's like they've never been changed...the inner pads were basically welded to the discs  anyways. Both inner and outer pads have the stainless clip that fits on the back of the pad, all good.

But all 4 pads also have this metal backing clip as well, and the outer pads have the little spring clip as shown in the photo also - I assume it's a wear indicator? The big shims appear to be bonded on, the stainless ones just fell straight off. Do I need to prise these off and re-use them? I'm using Ferodo DS2500's and there is a little square recess where I could place the little spring (wear indicator?) clip from these old pads. Any thoughts?
