Main battery or key fob ? Never dropped mine when changing the main battery, it’s a new one to me

Main battery the workshop manual just says  lower the windows but not sure if I'm supposed to lower all the way down.

  3. Hi can someone confirm when changing the battery i need to drop the passenger and drivers windows down . Do the windows need to be right down? . And after the battery has been changed does the windows need resetting or will they be fine as they move when the door is opened and closed slightly.  Thanks

  5. Could be banana arms ive read people having issues with noises . Regarding your pro sway bar bushes did you put any white grease around the sway bar or inside the bushes before you fitted them. If not the anti roll  bar could be moving on dry bushes causing the squeek. My brother had this issue when he fitted  new poly bushes on the anti roll bar put some white grease inside the bushes stopped the noise.

Up to you, I run one plumbed into the pcv valve side. Any catch can will do however ideally you want baffled with wire mesh inside to help trap the oil. Also I have a gauge on mine to show the level.

davey where did you get yours from ive been looking at baffled cans but cannot find one with a gauge level.

No.3 imo and thats what I run, the PCV valve is there for a reason. Crankcase pressure is reduced by the low rpm intake vacuum, so venting to atmosphere make no sense as the gases aren't being drawn out.

So am i best just to run one catch can any recommendations i was looking at the compact mishimoto ones. A lot of tuning videos and usa guys run option one as they said its stops the oil going into the engine and causing messed up fuel to air mix buring with oil and the oil can cause engine knock with oil going into the cylinders.. its only what ive been finding on the web. So i just making sure i buy the right set up. Thanks

  8. Hi guys looking at some advice on oil catch cans . Ive read around the forum and on youtube and there seems to be a few options in set ups and some agree and disagree opinions on set ups

I want to put a setup on my car just to prevent oil collecting in the plenum and to stop if any oil consumption.

1.I seen one set up on youtube  with  pcv valve deleted then both pipes going to a vented catch can and blocking the plenum and intake off. And his findings was no oil in plenum and very low oil consumption.

2.Ive read on the forums here one having  two closed baffle  catch cans going to each pcv valve and plumbed in as normal to plenum and intake

    3. Ive read you can leave the intake side and just put a catch can on the drivers side. .

Which is the best option to fit and forget to minimise or stop oil consumption and oil pool in the plenum. Thats is safe todo and wouldn't cause a problem.  Thanks

Best to run with the air con on to stabilize the tick over.

Ok so im best to have ac on does this drastically drop the mpg or is it not to bad. My first 350z so just learning things . Thanks

  10. Hi guys can someone confirm if this is normal idle seems low and i can feel the engine shake  through the car and i can sometimes here a pop out the exhaust . If i bring the rpm up slightly with the peddle its fine just under the 1000rpm. But as i let of drops down im not sure what the rpm scale is but is that below 500rpm on the picture. With the aircon on it brings it up between the 1000rpm mark and the one below.  But didn't want to run ac as it uses more fuel correct?

With the fluid being brown in colour, it is recommended to have it replaced. I use this as it's better suited to sprinted and long drives.

Thanks davey  would you recommend changing to a braided line and change the slave cylinder.  I see people wrap some sort of heat shield  sleeve around the pipe..

  12. Hi guys been reading around  about clutch pedals sticking to the floor mine doesn't do this thankfully that i know off . Ive only just my 350z so just learning my ways around . Apparently the clutch fluid should be clear . I just checked mine and its brown in colour . The car done 53k miles . Can i just change the fluid and everything will be good . As ive read some people change/flush it out with new and its brown again after a few thousand  miles. . Would i be best to put a braided line on and change the slave cylinder while changing the fluid. And what fluid is best to last long. Thanks

  13. Ive had another go

    Stock front 225x45x18

    Option tyre front 245x40x18 = -1% difference

might be stretched with a 9.5 wide

    Stock rear 245x45x18

    Option tyre 265x40x18 = -1.27% difference

The 245 might be a stretch on the 9.5 would sooner have them level with the wheel.

    2nd size

    Stock front 225x45x18

    Option tyre 255x40x18 = 0.23% difference

    Stock rear  245x45x18

    Option tyre 275x40x18 = -0.07% difference

Im not sure if the 275 will stick past the rim and hit the stock rear arch on a 9.5 et20

    Whats do you guys think.

  14. Admins apologise ive put this in the wrong section . Should of been in the 350z tyres . Ive put a post in the 350z  tyre section now asking the same question . Could you please remove this one from the 370z section . Sorry

  15. Hi guys need some advice been trying the tyre calculators and still none the wiser. Wheels are 18x9.5 et20 all round and after some tyres that will keep the car happy with tcs and anything else. Would i be fine having all the same tyres all round or best stagard. The tyres i came up with on the calculator.  Not sure if right. Was 255x40x18 or 265x40x18 all round or would a 265x40 rear and 255x40 front be fine with the tcs etc systems . The car is lowered on tein springs 17mm front 14mm rear . If you guys can let me know will be most appreciated.  So i can get some tyres thank you.

  16. Hi guys need some advice been trying to work out tyres on them size calculators site still none the wiser .

    Wheels 18x9.5 all round

What tyres will keep car happy without chucking up tcs and any other things. The car is lowered on tein s springs 17mm front 14mm rear.

Would you advise different tyres front to back or keep them all the same.

I tried with the size calculator which gave me.

255x40x18 front 265x40x18 rear will this work and keep the car happy or 245x40x18 front and either 255 or 265x40 rear. Could you let me know so i can order some tyres. Thank you
