  1. Hey yeah, so my tuner told me how to activate my MAP2 with the cruise control. Now I have much better dyno results than I previously had: 420whp 8.5 PSi 12-14° timing But tuner told me there is alot more in it to be had because still pretry safe timing on current tune and no knock detection yet.
  2. Hey V1H, your dyno graph above, that is WHP yeah? Its pretty good numbers, I wonder why my dyno read out was so low. But then again my tuner told me I am using a Safe Map and pointed out that I can switch to MAP 2 via the cruise control buttons, and that will offer me more aggressive timing, and hence more power. I have yet to try this.
  3. Ok found the issue. Vaccum line melted closed from heat when it was on the dyno. Got it replaced with braided lines, won't melt anymore lol. But now another issue, damaged front right wheel because I punched the pedal in 3rd at low speed and it threw me into the curb very quickly. yeah, it was my fault for being a dick head... Fml lol
  4. Yeah I just started reading up on the causes. So, if it was fine for a few weeks and then it just starts playing up, is the wastegate become faulty just recently or something?
  5. Boost creep does the opposite. The boost will cotinually rise up past the set the target as RPM increases, it can rise upto dangerous values where AFR will lean out. For example, for the past few weeks my boost has been pretty stable sitting around 7-9.9 psi max. But just recently it started playing up and goin much past the usual reading of 7-9.9psi. It reached 14 psi with just 4500rpm. If I kept the throttle down the boost would have gone higher. Not sure why this started happening but will hopefully have it sorted out soon.
  6. Hey V1H, wre you getting any boost creep issues? I have just started to experience boost creep again recently. It was fine for the past 3 weeks and then it just started happening out of no where
  7. Hey yeah Seb just told me he went very conservative on me because of the traction issues I was having. He said he can add timing now for more power. Im only at 8° atm. Heavily under tuned.
  8. Thats a possibility yeah, but if I was going to get another tuner I would probably go local dyno this time. My current remote tuner has tuned 100+ TT 370Z, so he would have his reasons to go super conservative on me, like Ekona said maybe because it's done remotely and he can't hear/see the car in person. I don't knows lol But yeah, 340whp is not worth the investment I put into the car, so I definitely want to get more power added one way or another.
  9. Ok well he got back to me. He said it is a very conservative tune and if we want we can add pwr. Wonder why we stopped there in the first place?? So I asked if we can continue to add pwr without comprimising too much safety and reliability of the motor. Will see what he says what he gets back to me. Another tuner looked at the ecutek log i sent him, and he said I was only on 8° timing and on my setup I should be around atleast 16°.
  10. Yeah definitely cannot be rite. The thing that makes me sad, is that it was remote tuned by Sebastian of SpecialtyZ. He is known as the 370Z god in the tuning world. Now I am very unimpressed with that result (only 90hp more than stock) I will just go get a proper dyno tune lol!
  11. Well just had my RHD AAM TT 370Z dyno'd. Results really poor for me. 340whp 7psi E85 12°Timing Remote/flash tune Thinking I should get a proper dyno tune. Do you know how much timing is in your build?
  12. Well done bro. I have a question, do you know what the stock wastegate pressure is on these turboz when they come from AAM? Because my build is complete and tuned, but my freshly installed EBC is saying I am hitting around 10-11.2psi in 3rd gear even when the EBC is switched off. I thought that is a bit too high from factory. My installer does not like test driving my 370Z TT on the road anymore, because he said they cannot put any power down to the ground in 1-3rd gear and he almost killed himself the other day in it because it just did not want to stay straight when he was testing WOT. These turboz are fantastic though. I hit 610nm in 3rd gear!
  13. Nice work man, wow those new filters look way bigger lol So what exactly will the larger ones achieve versus the stock AAM filters? If it is worth it, I may ask my workshop to do the same since they have my car again atm. They are changing the 340 pump out for a Walbro 460 because I am getting major fuel cuts under boost with the 340 on e85.
  14. Hmm I suppose I could, but tuners don't usually like to give out their work. And also it would need to first be adjusted by them to match my injector size and ECU Cal ID, which means they would have to do atleast a little bit of work, which I can't expect them to do for free. And since I prefer to have a Speed Density tune, they would have to make alot of adjustments so I am sure I would have to pay a fee for it. But if I am going to pay any tuner for a remote tune, I should probably just go with Sebastian from Specialty-Z yeah? I don't know man, there a few options but I really want to make sure I get the best tune lol But atm my car is at a tuning workshop down here for over a week and I think it has just been sitting there waiting for me to get them a remote tune. I have to make a decision by Monday, and I think I will get a remote tune from Sebastian, or a remote dyno tune from Hal @ Dynosty.
  15. Congrats on getting her up and going again! Wow, did you say you have also just relocated the intakes?? I was going to get my workshop to do this also but they wanted an extra $2K for it, so I have left it in the stock location for the time being. And after 5 bloody months they have finally finished my build!! Now my next issue is finidng a reliable tuner. My originally planned tuner recieved my car after the build was completed and tested, and he thinks there is alot of work involved for the speed density tuning. In other words, I don't think he knows how to do it and he doesn't want to admit it. So I am now going to source a remote tune from maybe Sebastian @ SpecialtyZ or one of the other top Master Z tuners. V1H you are lucky, Ecutek was created in UK correct? So you probably have plenty of support for tuning up there lol my state in Australia, has only one official Ecutek tuner and he will only tune WRX and EVO, he won't touch the Z platform lol.
  16. Ahh damm bro ;( Sorry to hear this, hope it all works out well and is fixed for you. I too would like to know how this has occurred. I just went to my shop today to check up on my build and they are very close to complete now. They rekon, 1-2 weeks and it will be ready to start her up. And alot of the discussion with them today was actually on all the lines like this. The oil, lines, fuel lines, vaccuum, AC etc are all in very tight and hot places that they are trying to modify for better and more safe position.
  17. Hey bro, we also have this problem, downpipe touching the underfloor. They had to remove it for re-angle to clear the floor. Same situation for me, not ideal because of ceramic coating, but has to be done amd then re-coated. Such a PITA lol : And, also unfortunately my Fast Intentions 3" TT exhaust system did not bolt up to the down pipes. We have to modify the down pipes aswell to extend onto the exhaust system, I guess Fast Intentions and AAM do not like each other lol
  18. Ahh damm, got quoted an extra $1800-2000 in labour +$300 for materials just to do the relocation of the intakes Gona have to pass ;(
  19. Well I was just having a chat to AAM Comp. and they told me that the stock intake filter location is completly fine, and that they have built 800whp+ Zs like that.
  20. No problem budd. But I have a feeling it may be more difficult for us RHD drive owner's to do. Well atleast on my Z, there is a big plastic radiator shroud that would have to be cut or moving/relocating the large reservoir tank and putting the intake there. Here is a pic of my Z with that area blocked. For some reason, the guy from America did not have this issue, he told me there was no plastic shroud in the way. I don't know why, maybe different year model Z or it is different on LHD Zs.
  21. Yes I have a workshop here in South Australia fitting it for me. Also a RHD TT kit by AAM Comp.
  22. I don't know if the reservoir needs to be relocated. Check out the pics below, they were sent to me by another AAM TT customer who relocated the intakes to that area in the front bumper. But what I don't get, is how they managed to put the intake through the plastic radiator shroud next to that reservoir. My workshop looked at that part and said if they cut a hole in that plastic radiator support shroud then the radiator will be held on very loosly. May have to ask that member again, how they managed it.
  23. Ah OK, I can see clearly now. Did you discuss with them or did they mention anything at all about relocating the intakes to the front bumper or anywhere else out of the bay?
  24. Hey V1H, did H-DEV relocate the intakes to the front of the car? I can't seem to tell from the pics.
