    Hi,

Nearer the time if you need any help with insurance at all then please feel free to drop me a line.

    Regards,

    Dan.

Not sure it'd be worth it.... You guys were miserable on the phone to me, had me repeat details a total of 4 times (3 to the same person) and came in at £5k, cheapest compared to that with a stronger policy was £1300.

  2. Seems as though no real clarity on this - I’m going to be pulling the trigger on a custom exhaust soon and was asking the same question!

in my mind, as long as it’s as close to a straight line as it can be then single would be lighter provided manufactured well enough to ensure Its not restrictive on airflow... True dual looks cooler but twice(?) the weight?

for me weight is important and I’m trying to keep that down so may just go single for now but if there are gains to true dual (even if only small)  I’ll more likely lean on that side if the fence.

  3. Hi all,

I've got a few bits for sale from my HR 350 that I need to clear out of storage and go towards my new clutch fund!

2x RTS street master FRONT discs - The discs are new and unused (surplus to requirement as mis-ordered!).. I painted the centre hub bit with heat paint. - £120

1x OEM rear boot lip (Pearl white) - Good condition and for sale as replaced with Nismo N2 replica. Tiny mark on underside I made when removing but not noticeable when it's on (circled in picture - All other marks are just dirt that I didn't have time to clean) - £100

1x Pair of stainless steel exhaust manifolds (DE & comes with gaskets) - I was assured when I bought these off a FB group member that they would fit my HR. I made the mistake of believing him, only to find out the flanges to the CATs are different when my mechanic was fitting them. These have never been used on a car (only one fitted and removed shortly after realized wouldn't fit) - £100

Will take offers on any of these, collection from Bristol or posted at buyer's expense.

    Cheers!

  4. Looks good.... (though I'm not exactly an authority on these things lol)

I was wondering if it would be possible to take the reflectors out and route from there? I've been thinking about getting long tube stillens/injens myself and was considering whether this would be viable to help airflow to them (or just help keep engine bay temps down). Haven't had a chance to take the front bumper off yet and figure it out (not to mention being fairly green to all this modding business).

Not really a build update but unsure where to put it

Finished college early with a couple of mates and visited JapPerformance Parts in Crawley. They have some awesome stock, mainly for Subaru's and Evo's, but they had an awesome drift scooby in the show room with a RB26 and I'm guessing from the gearknob it was a 350z gearbox:teeth:

This is the Scooby they had on Wheeler Dealers when they did the Skyline GTS lol

  6. Got the motor back and all sorted. Happy with it now - took a lot of work to build up more CF and reshape the underside of spoiler and is actually mounted in the correct spot now!

Really happy with it and think it improves the look of the car.. though the body shop accidentally scratched part of the door while it was in their workshop!!! They’re fixing FOC no problems (as to be expected).  Pain in the arse but accidents happen and he was very apologetic at least.

  7. HI all,

Looking for general opinion as I've been given mixed advice.

I've got some new SS manifolds going on my car and unsure whether I should heat wrap them or not? What have others done or recommended?

    Cheers

Hi mate I can recommend a body shop in Bristol called Peels  motor craft they are based in crew's hole road they fitted body kit for me and done a great job if that's any help

Cheers for that - I did go to Peels and was trying to decide against them and another garage I went to. As the other garage gave me a fixed price and said "I won't accept payment until you're 100% happy" and could do it 1 month sooner so I went for them after they showed me examples of their work and some projects they're working on at the moment.. He's charging me £600 to get it all sorted, Peels estimated £855 and said it could easily go up if they have to repaint the bootlid (which I suspect they will). I had other quotes ranging between £400 to £1000 (which I thought was a bit excessive!).

Fingers crossed... I have trust issues now but as he's done fixed price and was very keen to get across if I'm not happy with it, he'll redo it until I am so hope I made the right choice!

  9. He was apologetic - His hired help had fixed it on after he had painted it and was too late to change it by then he said. The hired help did duck out sharpish once I started questioning how @*!# it looked..

He's done work for me in the past and it's been to a high standard so could well be that the other chap just let him down. Either way, I've got my money back and going elsewhere.

  10. I've got my stand ticket up for grabs or preferably a swap to normal tickets now - Car's had some shocking body work done that I don't think any of us want on the stand representing 350's and won't be rectified in time plus I'd have to shoot off early anyway!

PM if anyone wants to swap /buy mine - I'm in Bristol but can post quick enough.
