About a week ago I was reversing into the garage when I noticed my temp gauge go into the red (this was after a 45 min drive with no issues whatsoever). When parked up there was a loud gurgling noise from the engine compartment. Lasted about 5 mins Next day I checked all the fluids including the oil to see if the dreaded cream was there. Oil is fine but noticed my collant level was slightly below the min mark. Yesterday drove it the three miles to a garage and topped the coolant up. Took it for a blast and once again everything seemed fine. Took it out tonight and when I was accelerating away the engine started spluttering and I notice steam from the engine. Temg gaude in red. Parked up loads of coolant started pissng out of overflow part of coolant reservoir. Had about 3.5 miles to drive home (no phone with me!!!!) so did a few hundred yards, stopped for a few minutes to let things cool down and carried on like that for about an hour until I got home. Yellow engine light also came on when this first happened. An also the occasional gurgling when stopped. Any clues what to look for please and how to fix it. Should both the radiator fans be turning when the engine is on as only one is (drivers side).

I've had this for around 6 months now: Thing is for the first time I am looking to take a wheel off yet I don't think there is a spanner (or whatever) to remove the nuts. How do I go about getting one. They are rota gtr wheels and the nuts are black (will they be called spline nuts?). Sorry if i sound like a numpty and not provided much information

I had a couple of advisories on my recent MOT. One was to do with brake/clutch pipe corrosion but the other was that the front drivers side tyre was close to the legal limit around the inside edge. Pity really as there must be 6mm of thread on the majority of the tyre. I'm assuming that it needs some form of re-alignment. Anyone recommend somewhere around West Yorkshire area and what should I be asking for and how much should it cost? Cheers

Just got my 2004 350Z through its MOT. It had 3 advisories. I am assuming the Offside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit inner edge bald is down to the camber (or something like that) as the rest of the tyre looks new. Can live with that as my mileage is low. The other two advisories are: Front Brake pipe slightly corroded both (3.6.B.2c) Front clutch pipe corroded How much would a garage charge for these sorting?

So who was the lucky person driving behind me (I was in my black Land Rover Discovery 3) going through Rothwell last night (15th August) around 7:30pm. Nice looking car especially the spoiler. Wish I'd been in mine.

Just noticed a bit of paint bubbling over one of my rear wheel arches on my 2004 350Z. The other three arches are fine. Want to get it done. Can anyone suggest a decent workshop that will do the work in the Leeds area. I have been recommended a place called Jessops (not the camera shop lol) which isn't too far away in Wakefield. I have not had this work down before so what should I be budgeting for one wheel arch, rust removal and respray?

Attached is how my current fornt number plate is mounted. Border line (or fully) legal/illegal depending on what side of bed the policeman has got out of. What are the best options to mount a full size plate. Not keen on sticking one to the top of the bumper to be honest. I think it is a Nismo V2 front bumper

I aquired my 350Z a couple of weeks ago and it came with the above unit. Noticed sound only came out of the front speakers, ceratinly nothing from the bass unit or rear speakers. There is also a dash cam and rear cam installed (although rear cam is under drivers seat lol). Neither of these work Took the centre console off to access the unit and noticed it was like spaghetti junction behind there. Noticed that from a speaker perspective there was very little connected. Not checked yet but should teh car have the bass and rear speakers installed? WIll look at the wiiring diagrams published on here but before I spend a lot of time sorting out the wiring has anyway managed to get a similar unit fully working with all the speakers in the 350z. I read of interfacing with the Bose system installed in the car is needed. Any help gratefully received

My ait con works i.e. when on fully cold setting it is cold (very cold). But as soon as I even slightly move the dial I start to get warm air. And I mean even if I move it a fraction. Anyone any ideas. By the way is the air con condensor situated anywhere near the front passenger side wheel area o fthe engine. Only reason I ask is that I do get a little water (definately not any other fluid) on the floor when it is parked up.

I have just met up with Jords who is selling his Zed: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/115739-2004-350z-nismo-bodykit-upgrades/ To me the car is immaculate for its year and Jords has been very upfront on the issues the car has. As well as the ones listed in his post and the usual age related ones I picked up on the need to recondition the wheels (although this they are not really bad), the fact there is no evidence the clutch has had any work on it (replaced) and also the W? suspension (is that correct, it's the stuff behind the seats) needs replacing plus the front lights need buffering. Being a noob could I ask peoples opinions of this car and the current asking price please. By the way it was Jords who suggested I post this.

Thank you for your replies. I have started reading the buying guides. Must say I do find it rather daunting. I am not a mechanic so when I see all these shiny cars being advertised on ebay, autotrader, parkers etc I think 'hmmmmm there must be something up'. How often do cars come up on here. I know from experience on other user forums you can normally trust people on sites like this.

...what 350Z would you purchase. Yes I know this is a noob question (and my 2nd post) but the market place seems to be full of half decent 350Z GT's at around this price range. What should I look out for? Is the pre 1st quarter 2006 276bhp engine (and cheaper tax) comparable with the revised engine? Is there anything I should be wary of? Any advice gratefully received. Oh and one other question - any of you 6ft+. I'm an ex Rugby (League of course) prop and about 6ft 5". I've never sat in a 350Z- Will I get in

My first post so go easy on me. I am hoping to work on the wife and persuade her the little bit of savings we have in the bank is doing nothing and we would be better 'investing' in something to enjoy. And that to me means a 350z. Always loved the car so why not. My first car was a Ford Capri, followed not too long afterwards by a RS1600i and then a 205GTI. Then it was more mundane stuff for many a year whilst the family grew up. Last couple of cars have been a Freelander and my current one, a Ford Kuga. That will staty bit I am after something to enjoy and maybe as a project. So having been a member of other car owners clubs and gained a lot of valuable information I hope over the next few months you may be able to guide me in the right direction. I've notice a good few cars for sale in my price range (around £8k) so I will look through this site and try and learn any pitfalls, what to go for etc etc. Any help and advice will be gratefully received. Oh and the nicname - well I used to be a punk in my youth - Hey Ho Lets go and all that. Ramones were my faves.
