I found the exact same issue today, current insurer said no chance as I needed experience with "Performance rear wheel drive cars" which I can't get without owning one!

Fortunately Adrian flux came in strong and told me it wasn't a problem and I'd been insured with them before, £670 fully comp £250 excess which beat hastings who offered £690. I'm 27 w/ 6 years NCB no points, might be worth giving them a ring they where really helpful. I believe she said the underwriter was Aegas but I'm not 100%.

I've been floating between Adrian Flux and Sky Insurance on my Cliosport for years, Sky won't insure me on a Zed and Flux just came in with a great price so hopefully be the owner of a zed Sunday
