  1. I could be nerdy at this point and state it was 309 not 313...and the 286 was not a UK power output.. I've only ever heard about that in the US... but I'm not...so I won't. B) haha

Wiki says 306, you say 309, most of the internet says 313... I've never understood why there's so many different values for each of the engines...

I gather the testing criteria for max BHP/Power was amended but can't remember when...

  2. Yes, it's a common problem. The search bar is there for a reason. ;)

It's easy to get off but it's covered in a rubberised coating so you can paint over the scratches but it's nearly impossible to remove them without dipping.

Buggered if I can find any threads using the pony search tab...Just sayin like ...

  3. Unfortunately chap the slave cylinders on these Zs are pretty shoddy and are a known weakness. As ive said in a another thread today they can appear to be fine but upon fiddling the seals flip. Many replace them with upgraded slave cylinders which is what I did, Chris at tarmac sports sells them for £36 quid and really saved my bacon.

The added issue for you is you have an internal slave on your gearbox whilst ours are external... Which means gearbox off...

Thing is I had a reasonable clutch pedal before I cracked open the nipple on the remote bleeder on the bellhousing... All I wanted to do was expel the old fluid by flushing with new so in effect there wouldn't have been a break in the integrity of the system to induce an air lock etc??

  4. I have the 2007 HR 313 & have changed the clutch fluid for dot 5.1 as had an issue at Brands Indy (fluid was boiling due to probably never being changed!!) Same thing happened with my brakes but changing the fluid on them was a doddle...

I've just spent all day :headhurt: attempting to flush/bleed the clutch line to no avail!!

Followed the usual procedure as in the service manual etc... Am I missing something??

  5. I've just fitted Yokohama AD08R on my 313 ... 245/40/18 F & 265/35/18 R... So far they seem ok & inspire confidence?

Had AD048 on my Merc SLK... They stuck like the proverbial but didn't last long & are prohibitively expensive in comparison imo...

  6. I hope you used genuine gaskets on the cat to Y joints as the ones supplied with the exhaust burn through in a couple of weeks.

I didn't get any gasket with the Scorpion

I re-used the original gasket which seemed in decent usable condition (I have always used copperslip to join exhausts with zero issues) ... We'll see if it leaks

  7. I'm a noob on here :)

Just bought a Scorpion Y section back & am attempting to install it myself (took it to 3 garages locally but unable to get it on their ramps due to having been lowered with Vogtland springs!!)

How the fook do you easily remove the rubber support bung that's above the rear silencer?? Should I remove the actual bracket from the chassis?

Got it on axle stands so very limited clearance still
