Hi,
Bit of a strange question but my 350z HR has been sitting for a few months outside the workshop while awaiting parts for a gearbox rebuild. Obviously gearbox was removed so couldn't start it. I'm in the south so not as bad weather but still had a bit of snow and frost, so not sure if it will be fine to just start it or if I should do anything else like a oil change?? It was serviced just over 1000 miles ago with Fuchs titan 5w30.
Thanks

Hi Zippypooz. Do you think this would fit my 2002 JDM import bottom, assuming I can get it running ever again?
Think it should fit, I know you can fit import bumpers on uk cars

Hi,
Probably been asked nultiple times but what's the best all round oil grade? Car is daily driven and is coming up to 75k. Its a 2008 HR, I'm going with a K&N oil filter aswell. Most people seem to be using 5w30 fully synthetic?
Thanks in advance

Finally got round to getting this issue sorted. I've been under the car and couldn't find anything obvious amiss re front suspension. My plan of attack was going to be.........fit a new pair pair of banana arms and be done with it. However, I thought I would just get my local mechanic to have a butchers up on the ramp. He located a very small amount of play in the n/s inner tie rod (steering rack end jobbie). I wasn't convinced based on what I have read about tricky banana arms causing 'hard to diagnose' knocks, but hey presto, it was the inner tie rod banging away. I got the garage to replace it (£11 part) and can now enjoy my Z again.
Hope this helps someone who is trying to track down an annoying knock :-)
Glad you gotnit sorted I had to change my arms but its all good now

Yeah my bush doesn't look like that, can't upload pictures

Probably compression arm bushes buddy, if they are gone the arm sits on the sub frame and knocks when you hit a bump.

Ive had a look and it's fine, I heard thats a common fault so its the first thing I checked

Hi,
I bought a 2008 350Z on Saturday with 71k. The seller did day he thinks there might be a bush going on the front left as it knocks a bit on bumps
I've been driving it around tge last 2 days and haven't noticed anything. Even over speed bumps.
However going down down the cobble stone Road to work this morning it seems to knock from both fronts. I checked everything and seems fine I only noticed the drop links can be turned (rotated side to side) could this be a issue

Ive attached a picture of the outputs on my unit. The manual says you can use steering wheel controls with it so I aasume its the same kind of setup as your one

Wasn't an issues just wanted to make sure it started alright and didn't damage any thing. We turned the flywheel by hand before installing the gearbox to make sure it wasn't seized or anything and then just pulled the fuel pump fuse we turned it over to get oil pressure going. Then just started as normal and let it warm up. All seems good and running well
