If the car is a daily, I wouldn't opt for the Yoko's as they're predominantly used for spirited/track driving and even though the dry grip is insane, they wouldn't be an all round balanced tyre for daily driving, taking into consideration wear due to the soft compound etc.

I was going to go for the Michelin's but picked up the Goodyear Eagle F1s for £450 all round including fitting, so was a no brainer as money was a factor with me, or I would have probably gone Michilin. But now had them over a year and would highly recommend them

People who have driven a Z on MPSS struggled to tell the difference on the road, Michilin's may wear slightly better and may be better in the wet. But I wouldn't be pushing a 300bhp RWD car in the wet anyway :)

I’d second the Eagle F1s. Moved to them from RE050s a few months ago and the grip is much better.

The sidewalls feel noticeably softer and there’s definitely a little more roll in them when cornering, but it feels very progressive.

Haven’t tried the Michelin, but very satisfied with the Goodyear’s given the price point.

  2. It sounds very similar to mine (though mine didn’t have a 40k gap in service history).

I paid £6k for mine about 18 months ago and whilst there were others around the £5k mark with similar mileage, service history etc, I paid the extra as mine was fully stock and in mint condition given its age. I don’t regret paying the extra at all.

Make sure you’ve looked at a couple of other examples so you have a fair comparison on price. I was initially looking to buy a roadster and with some mods already in place, but quickly changed my mind after seeing a few.

Good meet last night, 11 cars at the peak I think it was!

There was a silver 350 that parked up at some point near to us, said 'nice cars' across the car park and wandered off to whatever he was doing! Always come and say hi, we don't bite :-)

Andy, you missed being able to park next to another convertible..

    That was me!

I was off off to watch Dunkirk at 9 and was late so couldn't stop (still missed the start).

Had no idea this was a thing, but now I know having had a quick google!
