First trip out to Alnwick
Think that must have been the long way round to Alnwick...... Kielder water maybe, or via the lakes?
Nice 370 tho'.
Welcome to the forum, the North East definitely needs a meet sometime soon?

Just to echo the previous posts about yesterday; great day, loads to think about. A big thank you to Paul, Colin and Jo at CAT Driver Training and also to SuperStu for pulling it all together.
-
OK put me down please. Preference for the performance driving but drifting looks really good too, so if I've missed the boat with the performance day put me down for drifting. Mid week or weekend, June or July.

Would probably make a day of it, not sure about a whole weekend.

I would be up for a meet: missed the last one.
I've stuck my name on the end of the list of active members but it's not obvious (to me anyway), as a recent forum participant, how the forum is structured and who the REO (REgional Organiser?) might be. Either way i'm sure that we could find a car park somewhere.
Newcastle area seems fairly central, one of the service areas on the A1?
Or head out west for coffee at Hartside then back down through tees valley then Durham back to Newcastle;
Or head west then north for coffee at Kielder and back down via A68 or Morpeth;
Or just a bit craic. I think there's a Stabucks in the big Tesco at Kingston Park?
Suggestions?

For cars registered after 23rd March 2006 Road Tax (or Vehicle Excise Duty) for a Z is £515 (band M). For earlier cars it's £295 (band K) per year. Quite a chunk in one go but you can spread it over the year (for a fee!). Sounds a lot but it's really only an extra 4 tanks of fuel. Try this:https://www.gov.uk/g...V149_170316.pdfI've had mine 4 months now and love it. It's an 05 with 115K miles but great condition and history; serviced at the Cougar Store for the last 5 years. I wouldn't get too hung up on mileage. Go for it!

Really sorry didn't make it down today.
Flat battery would you believe. My fault, as it has been hinting for a while that another start could be a problem. Of course it had to pick today to finally give up, and as I was running late anyway; just over an hour to middlesbrough from Alnwick, hmmm just do-able, I stuck it on charge and then got diverted into other stuff. I note that the current battery is one of Halfords finest, so think I'll be looking elsewhere for another.
If you are thinking of another meet anytime soon I'll do my best to be there.

This still on for tomorrow?

Received my key ring today. Thanks Asad. Really pleased, fantastic value.

I should be able to make that. Will be a good run down for a newbie.
Is it easy to find? Looks pretty straight forward.

I would like one too please. Could you message me with the details? thanks

Thanks for the welcome guys.
NEroadster - You're not wrong there if tonight's weather is anything to go by! The suns bound to come out at least once before the new year, I'll keep an eye out for you.
MITZ@cougarstore - the last 6 stamps in the service book are from you guys! Though your're probably a bit far or the next. One of the reasons I bought it was the condition and history even though the miles were higher than I was looking for (114k).

Hello everyone.
Thought I should make a brief introduction; I'm Chris, living near Alnwick and I've had my Z now for just over a week. Can't help but grin from ear to ear every time I drive it.
As you can see from the colour it's a GT4 model, number 134. I did manage to find a thread on these a while ago but went back later and couldn't find it again, it had a list of members and the car build numbers, perhaps someone would update this one?
It's probably 25 years since I had what I would call a 'proper' car; my Peugeot 205 1.9GTi was nicked from outside of our house in Newcastle. After that its been a series of nondescript saloons, but mostly pickups, done 100's of thousands of miles in them. Ok to do a job not much fun otherwise.
Latterly I have tried my hand Rallying with a Peugeot 106 Rallye, great fun and a real challenge but just too expensive given the amount of time actually driving the car hard, so it has to go. It also means that my Z will have a garage to survive the winter in.
Thanks to all those involved producing this excellent forum, some really useful stuff on here. My next challenge is to sort the drivers window; doesn't drop like it should when you open the door and won't close; you have to nudge it up otherwise it gets to the top and comes back down. I've got steveW's pdf document downloaded ready for this weekend. hopefully that'll sort it.
Anyway here's to some more fun drives (lets face it they all are) might bump into some of you soon (not literally I hope!).
Last thought; are there any good 350Z specialists in the north east? for parts or servicing.

I'm afraid the Z has just fallen off mine; the screw fell out! I'd like another please if you're still doing them. In fact I'd take 2 and keep the spare key on the other. Cheers
