  1. It's not about heat resistance of the pad and its mu throughout the heat range. It's about which pad would generate more heat and potentially overheat the bloody Brembos with its small rotors! It's tricky to judge, because in theory the harder pad should absorb less heat (so should not heat the calipers up that much) but it has a higher mu, therefore can generate higher temps. So, which one? ;)

PS. I was told that the wet boiling points are more important than dry as even fresh fluid would have some moisture in it. True?

  2. That brake fade with ds2500 - do you mean a soft brake pedal after a few hard laps / sessions? I get that quite often now and I thought it was air in the system or a bad master cylinder. Braking power is ok but only from like half way down of the pedal travel unles I pump it up properly with my left foot before a turn. Everything is back to normal after a track day, pedal is stiff again. Is it becasue of those ds2500 pads?!

  3. Nurb has become a very "nasty" place during weekends. Your write up sums it up perfectly! That's why I'm thinking about going there on a Monday this time (full day). There is one more left on 5th June! I will be attacking <8:30 this year.

Check out my video from last year, @min. 8:26. If I hadn't checked my left mirror, I would have probably moved to the left and that Nurburgring hero in his Z3 would've crashed into me!

  4. Ahh amazing Rob, glad you are enjoying the AD08Rs. They really do look after you in the wet but I don’t know any other track quite as horrid in the wet as the Nordschleife. Some sections lack ANY grip and I swear must be made out of ice! Few corners you enter at what you think is 7/10s and then boom half way through the corner the damn thing starts understeering after you hit a small bump/compression! Lot’s of mad downhill braking zones and off camber corners to contend with too isn’t there… basically it’s friken hard work work in the wet haha!

I know, I've learnt that lesson last year! In those few corners you just need to stay away from the normal line as the rubber on the road gets really slippery in the wet!

  5. ^ dude, decats wouldn't compliment the LTH because LTH replace cats! What car do you drive? lol

343Hp is a great result but it depends on the starting point which depends on a dyno. My local dyno usually shows 293Hp for a healthy stock HR and a +10 Hp / + 10 Nm gain with decats.
