  1. She is purring like a kitten again, thanks Lee for hooking me up. I've got a faulty coil pack now so anyone know of someone who refurbs? (I'm assuming that more coils will go in the near future)
  2. Thanks for the help guys, Turns out the coil in cylinder 1 is the issue... or at least one of the issues as I didn't bother checking the coils under the intake. Pedro, sorry to hear yours is down on compression, hope you get it sorted out ok. Now to pick up a working coil
  3. Thanks Wasso, How would I go about finding the offending cylinder/cylinders? I've only got this one error code.
  4. Hey guys, My 05 Z has just thrown up a P0300 error code (checked with torque app) and she is showing the check engine light. She is running really rough and clearly mising on idle. Looking through past topics it sounds like it is likely to be either the injectors, spark plugs or coils??? She had new spark plugs last year from a Nissan dealership but to my knowledge has never had the coils checked or replaced. I am planning on driving her a short distance to the nearest garage but I wanted to check with you guys whether, first of all driving would do any harm with the missing? and if it might be worth giving her a dose of injector cleaner as a shot in the dark? She has been fairly rough to start the last 6 months or so and sometimes she chockes and dies when I start her up, could this be related? I would appreciate any help and if there are a few simple checks I can do before taking her to the garage I will give it a go, though I am no mechanic... Cheers guys and gals, Kernow
  5. Hi Mark, welcome, im new to the forum too. I am after that nice burble too and from what i gather the Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 has got a nice bass and burble though a bit expensive. Let me know what you go for, and if you are ever visiting Cornwall let me know Glen
  6. Nice, simple fix thanks for the dash of common sense I should have tried turning it off and on again before posting
  7. Will give that a go now
  8. Update: Just tried turning on the ignition and locking and unlocking using the button on the car door but no luck
  9. Hey, I cut a wedge out of a long bit of grey pipe insulation and pushed that between the dash and windscreen, worked a treat
  10. A couple of days ago I removed the green battery disconnect screw on the negative terminal and cleaned the thread on my. After reconnecting the battery with this screw the car doesn't honk when it locks and unlocks and beeps after I turn off the ignition, then the alarm goes of when I get out of the car and close the door! Very frustrating. It isn't immobilised and drives fine. Is there an alarm reset I can do? So far I've tried holding the lock and unlock together on the fob and manually unlocking and locking the doors but nothing has changed. Cheers
  11. Hey guys and gals, Yes she failed her MOT, on some suspension bushings.... But i've got me some compression arm to strut superpro bushes to sort her out A brief history on Nala (the girlfriend named her Nala). I bought her last year on Valentines Day (no girlfriend at the time). She is an 05 grey Irish import, not Japanese import though I'm planning on heading to see some of the drifting that goes on up on Perranporth airfield so maybe will see one or two of you there. Would love to get my hands dirty and replace/upgrade bits as they fall off to keep her running into the sunset
