  1. I am currently trying to sell my silver/grey 370z GT ultimate, I've been made an offer by the garage for PX and thought I would offer the car on here before allowing myself to be robbed. the car is a January 2010 GT ultimate model with all the features that includes such as the 19 inch alloys which are in near perfect condition. Apart from the usual chips on the nose that is typical of this car the rest of the car is in great shape. The tan/orange leather interior unique to the Ultimate spec is is great shape with minor use related marks on the base of the drivers seat. The sat nav has the latest update available for the model including the 2013 European maps. The car drives faultlessly with a nice smooth gear change when in Drive. The manual shifts are also very quick and smooth but still noticeable as being 'Manually' done.

    Key points:

    2010 59 plate reg

    51,980 mileage

    MOT valid till January 2018

Full service history with Nissan/ Falcon Performance

  2. It would be a good idea if we could get a few of us from this area to meet up one evening

yeah would love to, driving round rotherham and sheffield I still haven't seen another zed since the squires meet last month.

What colour is your Z mate? I see a couple driving around and one or two in the cineworld car park, mine is an orange 350 with a nismo spoiler and private plate ending JHW

mine is silver although gonna stop parking in centertainment due to marks on the wings from people parked at the side.
  3. Hi everyone, hopefully someone will be able to solve this for me..

Every time on warm up the old girl starts to squeak.. Seems to last through a 4-5 min warm up and then carries on until the car is upto temperature?

It's only started throughout the cold spell we've had.

Anyone know what I should look for?

    Thanks !

Did you ever find out what this was?
  4. It's just an MOT. Take it to the local family run garage, chuck a bit of business to your local area.

I'm guessing your not local to Rotherham then. Normally I would be fine with that but last time I did that with a previous car they were seen driving it around town when it was supposed to be having an MOT.
  5. Not sure if this is in the correct section but as the title suggests I need an MOT before the end of January and don't know anywhere nearby that is trustworthy. Can anyone recommend a garage near South Yorkshire. Willing to travel if there is somewhere highly recommended.

  6. Its certainly the harshest riding car I have ever owned but at the same time it feels so much flatter like its hugging the road, went out for an hour in the gfs punto and got back in the z and it felt like night and day. The road noise depends on the surface you're driving on but for the most part it can be quite loud, If its always loud then its fine.

  7. Not strange really.

He's presuming it's a fast car with a big engine and therefore coming to the conclusion that it uses a lot of fuel.

Don't know why you've stated its fuel economy is no different to any other car.

So a 350Z has the same fuel consumption as a 1.5 DCi Renault Clio?

    :-)

perhaps he meant that if you drive it like you stole it, it'll use more fuel, like any other car. But i have read on here somewhere that some members have managed to get just short of 40mpg from their zed on a good run. Which i think is quite incredible :)

38 mpg over 90 miles and 35 over 500 miles in my 370 earlier this year, no one was more surprised than me. Actually beat a 197 clio on economy after working it out.

  8. Time for a new set of tyres on my fronts, rears still have plenty left but at the moment all 4 tyres at Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Seen the Eagle F1's reccomended on here a few times, can see there are a few types of them (assymetric,2,3 etc). Can anyone tell me which is the preferable or reccomended type and will I notice much difference in perfromace and longevity compared to the MPSS'?

Also, looking at some of the discount places online, I've heard it's worth checking the tyre age, can anyone tell me how to do that?

as far as I know the asy 2 f1's is the preferred tyre for grip over the newer ones due to a softer sidewall. check out the Yoko v105s very similar grip but better wet traction.
  9. The GPU ram is only for use in video games and other high render situations, ideally the highest vram possible wll help if you want to be playing about 1080p such as 4k. If you are using a lot of programs on top of the ram certainly look at getting a decent sized ssd as your program drive and then a bigger hdd for file storage. this reduces load times and improves the speed of multiple programs massively.

  10. Hi mate, It depends on what your going for but build it yourself is 100% the way to go if your comfortable with the idea. pre built always looks like a good idea until you find out they skimped on something like the power supply 4 months down the line. If your serious about the pc gaming aspect have a look on steam today, they have a sale going until 6pm tonight that is 30-60% off almost everything in the store. I have a mate who got a pc from overclockers and overall seems quite good. I wouldn't be too worried about warranties because individual components come with very good warranties if you buy from a decent make. Corsair, EVGA, MSI and ASUS are right up there at the top when it comes to individual components. And there is the added benefit of if you build it yourself you know how it all goes together and it makes it very easy to work out hardware faults if they ever occur.

  11. My brain is now hurting very very much!

Just realised this morning, having read several more threads on low oil pressure, that i didn't know which engine was in my daughters 2010 car. I'd been thinking it had a VQ engine and even though I knew it had paper oil gallery gaskets it was less likely to suffer the gasket blow out problem which appeared to affect the HR engines more.........WRONG !!

I now know that all engines codes start with VQ and that it's the last letters which define the engine type IE hers is a VQ37HR.

So making my gasket worries increase dramatically. Now back to getting them replaced rather than monitoring oil pressure. BUGGAR, BUGGER, BUGGER !

I'm getting old you know and I'm not well either :)

Having read up on most of the reliability issues I will be 100% getting this done as soon as money allows, it takes away as far as I can tell the only issue the VQ engine has in terms of premature death. From the sounds of the other posts about this by the time the oil pressure drop is noticed it may be too late anyway.

  12. Thanks guys, yeah I'm on civinfo and CTRO etc. Recognise GMballistic. I'd be considering an 09/10 plate 370z in white if I could get one for around £15,000. I'd probably get £12,500 for my civic, maybe more if I'm patient or maybe less. It is a faster car and probably quicker in corners, cheaper to run and maintain, mpg definitely better on the civic! But I think the looks and sound should be worth it. Can someone tell me what BHP I'd get remapping with intake, cat back and high flow cat? If estimate 350bhp? I do like the idea of 1st gear launches which I can't do in the civic. I'd get AD08s all round. Also what kinda torque are these making from 2000rpm? I'm gonna try find one local to test drive, more than likely I'll only find a 350z in a garage but I guess they're similar. Anyone have a 350-360 NA 370z and does your feel quick despite being so heavy ?

    Thanks

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Iv had my 370 on a roller and it was making about 20 under peak torque from 2k and then maintains it all the way through the rev range up to 6800 where it starts to drop off.
  13. The oil seal mod would be worth considering on an earlier car

    The "what" now ?

The older 09/10 engine 370zs had a paper oil gallery gasket that was changed in the newer models of the car. It isn't a death sentence but certainly worth keeping an eye on. Or for peace of mind getting changed to the newer gasket although from what I have read its quite labour intensive.
