  1. Took my car down yesterday and was quoted £430 to replace tracks rods, end and compression arms. (LHS bush has completely dropped out now, and inner tyre wall wear suggests ball joints too, car for sale and want to give the buyer the best I can. Tracking is out and we cannot get The bolts free whatsoever) I knew they needed doing. But does this seem a reasonable price including parts & labour.

eoukd you say this price is good value?

    Thanks for your help.

  2. There's 4/5 marks per door, some have paint chips but would just like to get the feature line straight as it can be off putting to see them. You reckon a tonne for all? Per door? Or per dent?!

    Thanks

    Joe

  3. Hi all,

Looking for a little advice. Looking to sell me Zed in August (ish) now. Anyway it was like it when I bought it 2 years ago and haven't decide the best option. Each door has a couple of dings in, some along the feature line. What's the potential cost to repair? And is it worth doing? Would it put someone off buying completely? (Id plan on accepting a couple hundred less than asking price of sold before I got chance to rectify

  4. Well I'm looking to sell it in August so don't want to pass on the issue, much rather sell knowing its not going to be a problem. And there is a knock over rough roads at slow speed from that corner anyway, I'd guess they might be linked?

  5. Hi,

My MOT came back with an advisory as the lower control arm bush starting to debond. I'm guessing I either replace the bush or the arm?

And how much would that cost? Parts, and labour?

    Thanks

  6. I did. It was work done on a Peugeot 308 though.

I took it to Rugby Car Care. As i live in Rugby and they are the preferred Peugeot body shop - they also were a great deal better value than anywhere else.

I did what I do anywhere I get work done, and set out my expectations and agreed on them, and said to contact me when they're happy.

There is also a place around North Cov where my companies show cars/models go to get sprayed, Quite pricey but the best job i've seen done locally - the only problem is it shows up the rest of the panels...

  7. Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cubby lid for a 56 Rev. I've removed and resprayed the button but now the A surface of the lid is also scratched etc. is it possible to just replace the lid or cubby?

  8. Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get a replacement cubby lid (non nav version) for 06 revup version the dotted grain with scratched around the button and want to replace it cover if possible

  9. Hi,

Looking for a little help and seeing if anyone can recommend a paint shop in coventry or warwickshire or surrounding areas.

Looking to get my front end in the future. This time I'm looking for my girlfriends uncle (83). A couple of places have tried to rip him off (quite clearly) recently.

Peugeot 208, Black. Looking for a bonnet respray. There's about 10 or so 'wire wool' patches (daft bloke did it himsel, not thinking). Most could probably buff out but as its a disability car they are pretty difficult sometimes. Anyway they are quoting for a new bonnet (trying it on)

Does anyone know of a good body shop in the area? And how muc should I be looking for a bonnet spray, or repair of the patches,

  10. The button to open the little cubby hole can come out and be sprayed separately to avoid masking/messing it up.

5 screws on the back of the door means the front can lift away (not completely off) to allow a screwdrivers into the hole to release the mechanism with the button,

Once that's off the button just screws off.

  11. Arkwright,

thanks for your reply. Been to all the majors car parts retailers today and no luck, started trying a few local shops with the same luck, around Rugby/Coventry anyway.

Ken, i'll try that when i get back to my laptop rather than on my phone. Any other ideas welcomed.

    Cheers

  12. Hi,

Just had a P3 service at the dealership and they noticed that on my O/S rear caliper one of the brake pad retainer pins, clip and cross spring is missing. Bit of a nightmare as I can't find them anywhere in the UK as a kit - dealership offered £98 to sort it but im sure the part can be found for a tenth of that.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of one? Any help would be appreciated.

Link to an image of what i'm looking for below (just one pin and clip and cross spring:
