  1. Oil seems to be okay - battery sits at 14/15 volts when the engine is running though. Isn't that a bit high? Just experienced sticky clutch as well at a really bad time! I've heard that can be a bit of an issue with these cars. More to add to the to-do list!
  2. Nowhere near as horrendous as I expected. I could get used to this! I'll be jumping in the car in a few hours so will try to remember to check the oil pressure. I think it's fairly decent though. As for the fuel history - there's no way of really knowing, is there? It's all about benefit of the doubt there! So I have to drive it stock for a year and just keep crapping myself every time I get some speed up? Best get down to primark to stock up on underwear.
  3. Yeah, most of my driving is really local. Little to no motorway driving! What's a set of those likely to set me back though? I've been thinking of going wider to increase my grip - but it's all just theoretical right now. Got lots of homework to do, haven't I?! My last car was a heap that was plagued with issues so I hope I don't get the same luck with this one!
  4. My average is around 21mpg at the moment - I'll have to work on that. It's got Nexen N8000's in the back and N6000's on the front. That's what it came with and I haven't bothered changing them yet! What j really need is a track day though. That'll help me learn the car and the way it moves. This is my first performance car and I was pleasantly surprised with the insurance cost. And, as long as I don't trash the car, it'll go down each year!
  5. I don't know how you're getting 30mpg out of it! I guess I'm driving like a spastic - I jut can't resist! A year is a long time to wait to make some changes to the car. I'll have a chat with Admiral and see what their stance on it is. Who are you insured with? I just want to find a way to glue it to the road a lot better so that it doesn't feel like it's going to take off at speed! Yeah, I'll have to set some time aside to have a read through the archives and see what issues I'm likely to face.
  6. I find myself grinning before I've even got inside the car - even with its unquenchable thirst! I'm a bit anxious about the costs of upkeep and and customisation so I'll probably be hounding everyone on the forums about advice and recommendations for that. Be prepared and be patient!
  7. They actually told me that none of their underwriters were willing to insure me on that vehicle as I was under 28 years old! So they said I just had to buy out my contract but wouldn't charge me a cancellation fee as they were unable to offer me an alternative. I ended up paying £200 per year more than the 307 cost me. So it wasn't as bad as I originally feared!
  8. I used to be encased in the glorious Peugeot 307 1.6! So, yeah.... I've now discovered unheard of speeds such as 70mph
  9. I work in Ascot every week so I often take a lot of the back roads to get there! Drift road is a particularly pleasant one - unless it's plagued with cyclists and horses!
  10. Haha, leather seats are easy to clean!! A cheeky snap of the culprit!
  11. Hey everyone! I recently bought a new toy in the shape of a 2006 350z GT. Still getting used to how much of a step up from my old car it is and I often have to change my pants after driving it. Can't wait to find out when that'll stop happening! Sonny - from Windsor, Berkshire
