  1. Oh jeez, we really need to talk as that is smack bang where I want to be, and it's a 313 too...!

Seriously, in a couple of weeks I may well have the cash for that if it's as good as you say. PM me more history about the car, so servicing, MOT, when you had bits fitted, who by etc. The more detailed you make it, the more likely I am to buy.

    *cough* AHEM *cough*

Seriously, ping me some details, I'm still interested. :)

Maybe that's your problem, you're ignoring people genuinely interested in it. :p

  2. Almost any Dell. Can't go wrong. I admin several hundred, (we have several thousand globally) and very rare do I have an issue with them

Avoid Toshiba, absolute pits. We bought a large multi-national company that used them, and we inherited junk.

  3. 80k, and I drop them like a hot potato. Not because of any issues with the car. It's issues with buyers; they're morons, but you have to play to the market.

40 years ago a Ford Cortina with 100k on the clock was something to behold!

That mentality has stuck, despite massive advances in engine technology and tooling. Hell, a modern clutch would outlast two Ford Cortinas.

  5. I'm not a tablet man, but I'm in IT so i have about 280ish of them knocking about.

Best IMO would be the Nvidia Shield K1.. Great resolution and clarity, and very quick. I use one when I'm on site to dial into switches or servers for light work or inspection.

If you look about, you can get them for a shade under 200. You'd be hard pressed to find better for that price.

  6. What Sargara said. Park with the crowd...you're gonna have a bad time.

At my local Asda, there's about 500 parking spaces, and only one space where no one can park next to you. Only me, and a guy who owns a classic Golf seem to have clicked on. We both seem to compete for that spot :D

Yes, I know exactly where that spot is, I sometimes see a 911 parked in it :) . I park near to where the recycling bins used to be, quite a hike up to the entrance though.

    Pete

Haha, seems anyone that cares about their car parks there. But that's the general vicinity I park if it's not available. Worth the walk IMO

  7. If you guys knew what I sold mine for you'd kick me all over

I lost a fortune on it, just wanted rid of it in the end.

    Yep, I can guess.

The arse has dropped out of Zeds at the moment. I'd be surprised if you get £4k for it.

  8. I give to Help for Heroes, never a problem.

The fact there is a help for heroes charity is problem enough. The MOD spend billions on the means to kill folk but spend two-fifths of f@ck-all on looking after their own people afterwards. If you made those bastards pay the true cost of war we'd see a damn sight less of it.

Couldn't agree more. Would be better than upon declaration of

As it stands though, I have to help them out. Many go into the army because it's the best choice they have for some kind of well paid career. Unfortunatley, the price for that £22k salary can be crippling.

  10. Download an app called "Should I Answer"

Silent app that blocks marketing, ambulance chasers, charities, pretty much every pestering a-hole out there.

Beauty of it is, it's connected to an online database where users update it continuously.

You can set it to silently block calls, and not even notify you it's doing it.

Best blocker out there by a long shot.

  11. My TV is (12 years old!)

Half answered your own question bud.

mines a Toshiba and 10 years old. LCD, one of the early HD models. Weighs about 90lbs lol

It will be replaced with a Toshiba without any doubt.

  12. Reaminers on Radio 4 Any Questions today said I voted to Leave the EU not because I wanted to leave the EU, but because I wanted a better deal from the EU, and that the government was betraying me if we took a hard Brexit.

I had no idea. It's nice to be told by a grown up why I do things because I'm such a child and need a Lefty to guide me. They are so wise and all knowing. I hope I become a Liberal Democrat when I get older.

  13. As you've said OP private sale is the way to go with Z's.

I tried a few different garages and nobody would offer me more than £3000 for my Z :scare:

It's really bad. I was offered 3300 today as a trade in. Found one guy who offered me 5200 though, which I though was generous for a garage.

Generally they want to pay 3900/4000 tops

  14. And whats wrong with protesting? Just because 17m people said one thing and 16m said another, it doesn't mean the 16m cannot therefore have a view on what a proper Brexit means - they all still exist, are all still pro-UK despite all the over use of the Union Jack you see on Leave propoganda, and still care about our country. We are leaving we get that, but the manner in which we leave is open to ALL to debate we are not living in some communist society. When the Conservatives won the last election do Labour just stop pushing their view on how to run a country and just agree with everything the government says?

The only dummies I have actually seen being spat are Leavers who seem to want to circumnavigate the very thing they voted for i.e. sovereign UK parliamentary voting on UK issues. Like it or not, you cannot change a constitution without abiding by the law of the land.

No Coldel, the parliament challenge was/is a cynical attempt to try and block Brexit by having the MP's vote against it, it has nothing to do with democracy.

And the Law? the law is trying to block democracy. The people have decided what they want, and the minority are trying every trick they can think of to sabotage the will of the people by using Parliament, the Law, the media, and this bi-election to put the skids on. That's why Theresa May was/is trying to use Royal prerogative.

If the Majority say Leave the EU, then the Courts have no say, and the Politicians have no say.

If either one can stop the will of the people, then it's the system that's broken, definitely not Democracy.

Democracy is parliament voting on issues. Democracy are the people voting in people to pass on their word in parliament. I agree we should brexit and trying to block it is ridiculous, however it is flying of the face of democracy to allow the the prime minister to dictate the terms of a constitutional change. That cannot be any more undemocratic.

Democracy is Parliament voting on issues, correct. But when they vote against the Will of the People to serve their own personal interests, while pretending they're "Representing the people", then that's a million miles from Democracy, that's a Plutocracy.

And there's only one way to deal with a Plutocracy, and it's not by debate, or any other form of civil discourse.

  16. I wouldn't pay 6k for anything with rust on it.

Mines in much better condition, immaculate in fact, FSH, 80k miles, and I'm asking £6k ono

No weekend mechanic mods, not a spec of rust.

    But it's a not a coupe, it's a UK GT Roadster.

  17. Insurance are major d***s

I just swapped my insurance from a the Z to a piece of crap, £300 Corsa 1.2 SXi, and they dropped the premium by £1 per month.

Yet insurance quotes online, even from the same company knock £150 off.

They mug you off hoping you won't cancel the policy due to penalties.

Something else the Government need to look at.
