Cheers guys! Love the braided hose but gotta be silicone for me but I'm guessing it's an 8mm I/D. I was hoping to get away with not measuring it as I can't till tomorrow & I'm impatient so wanted to order it today but I'll have to wait me thinks! There's also a breather that I need to do so I can fit an oil catch can!

I've just bought a silicone hose set for the radiator but it was only a 3 piece. Couldn't find a set with the 4th hose in the colour I wanted, the 1 that goes from the radiator cap to the expansion bottle. So my question is to people that have fitted silicone hoses, what is the internal diameter of said hose please?

Received my brace last week & fitted in the rain on Saturday! The quality is amazing & it looks sick!

Already saving for the turbo conversion!
-
Cheers guys. She will be tracked but not till next year & if she survives that then a big fat turbo will be fitted in 2 years & then I'll fit an oil cooler.

I know the basic answer is YES but there is an actual reason I ask! My car has recently clocked over to 101k miles & has had some work done on the engine including a remap. Now I'm starting to get the dreaded spark plug/coil pack death syndrome. Cylinder 1 has started to misfire! I put new plugs in along with all new fluids just before the remap a couple of months ago. I've got new standard plugs ordered & gonna swap them out as a matter of course anyhoo but I got a feeling it's the coil pack! Was speaking to a tuner dude yesterday & he said Nissans engines, along with a lot of other brands, run hotter after remapping so are more likely to burn out the sensitive electrical gubbins. Especially on high milers! Now I know he ain't on about water/coolant temp as they are fine but also its oil that circulates around the heads. So if I spunk out £366 on a Mishimoto oil cooler kit am I still gonna cook the shizzle out of my packs or will that be enough oil cooling to save them? Also it looks cool a fook man!

Here's the page for the 75mm throttle body under the thermal intake spacer. Which isn't available for the 350z but every other vehicle that uses the engine! Strange! Lol. http://www.nwpengineering.com/Phenolic_Spacers.html#BBTB

Cheers mate, I have spoken to them a fair bit & feel a bit cheeky asking them so many questions. I have found a 75mm throttle body, adapted plate & wiring but as per usual it's from the states! $355 though all in plus shipping, import tax & VAT so hopefully there summat like that but here!

Anyhoo this wasn't supposed to be a phylosifical debate on dynos as I know different dynos, air temp, altitude, blah, blah give different readings. My 1st reading was from H-Dev & it's there's that I would trust over anyone else's. My actual question was about mods. Where do I get larger/uprated throttle bodies from? Has anyone dotted water meth injection? I want the heads ported & polished but this is my daily work car so can't do that till I get another daily driver.
-
I know & then there things like air temp, altitude above sew level & barometric pressure on the day but it's a rough guide. Nothing more
-
Has anyone done water meth injection? We got 2 screen wash bottles so 1 could be converted easily enough!🤔
-
Then I'll have a slightly soggy engine!😂😂😂😂😂
-
I couldn't believe that I gained 17/18hp by going back to the stock air box with a decent panel filter but the dyno figures show it. It feels so much better with the stock box also, a lot more responsive throughout the whole rev range. Definitely recommend the JR Performance filter & a good price from H-Dev also.ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

My power is down from new & all that but the torque is just a bit higher than standard @ 263ft/lbs so she pulls like a train. Mad that I've lost power in my 10 year old engine with 101k miles but I've got more torque.ðŸ˜ðŸ‘ðŸ»

Oh damn I knew I forgot summat! Lolol A/C was off & the roof down. FTW!ðŸ˜

Nice cold heavy air! Lush! Lol

I've inly ever sold 1 bonnet & made the person pick it up & when I've bought summat like that or a boot lid I normally go & get the in a van. This 1 I'll be picking up from the dealer & if there's 1 mark I'll reject it. I got access to a van & lots of blankets/duvets to protect it while at in transit.ðŸ˜ðŸ‘ðŸ»

The old 1's are McGard but not anymore. The set I got now are for a 370Z & Nissan originals.
-
I also also forgot to say that I have a polished aluminium Z-Tube. What about a terra-clean or some other deep clean? Failing that where would I get a larger throttle body? I'd polish the @*!# out of it before fitting! Would an oil catch can do anything as I wouldn't be sucking in them nasty vapours anymore?
-
I know the RevUp is 300ps so equates to 297bhp. The boot only had cleaning products in it!😂 I'd also had a mahoosive poo before hand!😂 I forgot to say that I've only ever run the car on 99 octane V-Power fuel also.
-
Totally gutting man!😢😢😢
-
Thanks man, I was looking at the lightweight pulley kit you can get. 3 pulleys including the crank, alternator & power steering pump. Also where can I get a bigger throttle body? I've read about some people fitting Mustang 5.0 throttles but it's hassle!🤔 I ported & polished the head on my last motor but it took a while & that was just a 4-pot head!😂

There isn't much point in raising the limiter as the peak power is still @ 6600rpm & fallen off slightly by time you hit the stock limiter. I was thinking cams but read somewhere that NA came are no good in a boosted motor??? Don't know how that would work as I thought cams were cams regardless of FI or NA!

I have a 2006 roadster with the DE engine, it's a RevUp spec engine that comes with all the usual goodies, bhp & torque. I currently have stainless headers, stainless decats & stainless twin exhaust system(based on the HKS 1), JR Performance panel filter in a standard air box, plenum spacer from H-Dev & grounding kit also from H-Dev. She's also just been serviced recently with nice new plugs, oil & coolant. Also have had H-Dev remap her. On the day I had a Pipercross Viper fitter & it was super hot! The filter was actually killing power! I drove in with 165bhp & drive out with 175bhp! Plus they couldn't get the intake air temp below 51 degrees C! Went home & put the standard air box back in & dropped the JR Performance panel filter in & this Sunday just gone had her tested again whilst at the Japanese Performance Show & she kicked out 292.5bhp!!! Not bad for a ten year old engine which had just ticked over to 101k miles me thinks. Anyhoo I want the 300bhp that Nissan say should be! I will be going for a turbo conversion in 2018 & a stroker kit in 2019 but I want the elusive 300 for now. So what else can I do to get that extra 8hp? Is a fuel pressure regulator any good for owt? Any help would be awesomes guys!ðŸ‘ðŸ»

I understand they gotta put their price on top but traders normally get items at trade price plus they can claim back the VAT. It's just when you google for a HR bonnet Nissan don't even come up yet they're significantly cheaper than anyone else I found on 23/08/2016! My whole point of this post was to just inform people's that the dealer isn't always a bad place to go. I also had a result earlier in the year with locking wheel nuts. £40+ for replacement McGard V's £26 for Nissan originals & tbf they are so much better quality than the McGard's.
