  1. That's not true. They signed up to DW but have since ignored the entire community, so a more accurate description would be that no one has heard FROM them in the UK. Ah well obviously I don't know the local details - I just know that the product is great and they have a network throughout Europe, except nothing listed for the UK
  2. Nope, only heard about the product through a local detailer and had a great experience. No one has heard of them in the UK - which is odd! It renders wax an expensive past time!
  3. Thanks, that's the Ceramic Pro - I recommend it to anyone skilled enough to apply it. It does require headlamps and masks (toxic fumes). The result is what you see (for the cars life time - it will never need polishing or washing with chemicals again - poo just wipes off with a cloth, bugs won't stick and in heavy rain I don't even need to use the wipers . It would be perfect to protect a soft-top too. Oh, and check this out:-
  4. Yes I drove a Z4 35is in Munich and it's a great engine/gearbox (DCT). Not quite the same mpg if you want to do long distances. I did mange to get into almost single digits on the autobahn! If I don't find the right Zed then a Z4 or Boxster S is another option.
  5. Hi all, I've joined the forum recently and am looking to swap my E92 3-Coupe as I don't travel long distances any more I would like to swap from diesel to petrol. If there's anyone out there with the opposite problem, this is an ideal cruiser! The car was bought by me nearly 4 years ago and has been my P&J since. No expense has been spared on keeping it in top condition with all upgrades and recall work performed. It lives with me in Croatia and resides in a garage. It doesn't see road salt and enjoys a dry climate. It happily cruises at 100 mph through Germany and still returns 40 mpg at that speed. I drive back once a year in the summer so I plan to leave the car in the UK to be sold or swapped. My new daily car will be a Focus estate so I can now get a 2-seater. Willing to sell, swap or swap plus cash for the right car. Open to suggestions (350z/370z). Summary 320d ED Coupe M Sport - 177 58 Model - DVLA Registered 18th Dec 2008 Factory M Sport body kit and M sport suspension remains 48k miles - will rise as used FBMWSH (serviced twice as often as the official intervals) All recall work done by BMW Auto stop/start Full creme interior upgrade with fully electric seats Heated seats Cruise control BMW professional sound upgrade with bluetooth Xenons and LED angel lights BMW Performance exhaust Details The car is on 48k. I bought it at 23k when it was 3 years old for £17.5k. It's mostly autobahn driving (2100 mile round trips to the UK) The oil is serviced every 6 months or 12 months depending on how much town driving that period (official BMW period is 2 years but I don't agree with that), always serviced at BMW Just had full service 1, with oil, filters, inspection (on Monday), at BMW Recall work completed Monday, they replaced the cam chain tensioner with an upgraded component as part of the N47 recall. The tensioner was fine, but apparently they are replacing all of them regardless. During this process both chains were checked and deemed to be in excellent condition and within tolerances. This work was performed at BMW. This was done free by BMW but I added a full service 1. Other work included the DSC controller which was changed in 2013 at BMW in the UK. Due to this being a common fault BMW contributed 75% toward the cost and upgraded the part The turbo actuator was changed in 2013 (lack of use before I bought it meant the small piston was sticking closed, lack of boost - £12 fix, done at BMW) When I first bought the car it felt very lethargic - the previous owner was an older chap who rarely used the power. A BMW technician said this could be due to the adaptive ECU and offered a complete ECU software upgrade and BMW performance remap (http://www.bmw.com/c...kit_diesel.html) but I opted for the AmD BMW custom software upgrade which is performed with rolling road sessions. It now runs a conservative 210 bhp with improved MPG. Dead spots and lag removed the car drives brilliantly. Genuine 59.5 mpg registered through Germany at a steady 65 mph. The average (even with town driving) is 42 mpg. BMW will re-flash the software back to factory for me if this is required. It has never been an issue during re-call or service work. New brakes fitted all round in 2013, with fluid change (since changed again), Pagid high carbon discs and EBC yellowstuff pads. Much more confidence inspiring on the autobahn. The BMW rear wheels cracked in 2013, which is a common issue, but BMW wouldn't replace FOC, so I replaced them with TUV approved wheels sourced from Austria/Germany which are stronger and lighter, all tyres have excellent tread Car lives in Croatia with me, I'm at ex-pat and will drive the car back to the UK shortly. It lives in a garage, isn't used for commuting to work as my office is 100m away, isn't used in winter. The front bumper was replaced with a brand new one and sprayed by official BMW workshop in 2013, as it was chipped on a curb when parking, it's quite low. My OCD got the better of me and I didn't want it repaired. There are hardly any stone chips as a result. The car also just had 5 day paint correction + Ceramic Pro treatment (have certificate/warranty). It's a new product in Europe, not in UK yet. It's a life time paint protection with 3 year warranty - no polishing needed, fully UV protected, scratch resistant, paintwork is fantastic. Protected paint (4 layers), wheels, windscreen, interior. Interior also repaired using BMW official paint, drivers bolster seat was scuffed as it's crème interior, full repair and respray, looks new. £750 spent. No dents, no scratches. Full geo alignment every year Excellent brakes Excellent tyre tread No DPF/regen issues Zero oil consumption Zero faults I've added a couple of pics with my forum name on to prove it's me. Obviously one on the inside as evidence too! Thanks for reading.
  6. Interesting that he's swapping from a Cayman S, that was another option. Know what you mean about the car issue, that's why I am placing an order for the new 2015 Caddy Life in June so I won't be in a rush to get one... just don't want to have a summer without it
  7. Sounds good - can go for a beer. Will have my 370z by the too!
  8. somebody has put a deposit down. The good ones go fast...
  9. One for now and one for later - At least I got some beer Planning another trip?
  10. What a fantastic Z - this is how I would like mine to look ! http://www.ebay.de/itm/Nissan-370Z-Pack-KW-Gewinde-Senner-CATBACK-Rennkat-Vossen-Tuning-/331538367579?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item4d313a045b
  11. Yes it's lovely, highly recommended you visit. Lots of airlines available now too - no excuses
  12. Hi Dario I'm based in ZG, looking to bring a 370z here this summer. How is the support from Nissan ZG?
  13. It has a lot of ups and downs. Country is beautiful but they still have a lot of social issues since the war. The government has been corrupt for many years, killing industry and driving the currency to Junk status. Many gov. Figures are now in prison. Lots of people have swiss backed mortgages as a result of the poor currency which has now been unlocked against the Euro and saw peoples repayments almost double overnight. I was in town yesterday and thousands of people marched in protest. However the coast is amazing and if you are export based as we are, you can get some great people here and have the best of both worlds but it isnt easy!
  14. I saw a lovely granite gray 370z today at Jarun lake, I was cycling around there. Didn't get a chance to take the plate number... but hello whoever you are
  15. If I had all the cash available I'd fly there now, but I need to sell mine first
  16. Very cool, I'll try and find him. I live out here for the last 5 years, we have our software dev. office over here. The roads are great and speed is not so much an issue. Hardly any cameras anywhere and Germany isn't far away. The country is dying for more Z's on the roads!
  17. Hi everyone, UK expat living in Croatia, looking to buy my first Z I've made my first post over in the detailing forum some of you might find interesting. I plan to do the same thing to the new Z so will keep you all posted http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/97412-pics-ceramic-pro-9h-a-new-product-from-europe-not-yet-in-the-uk/ Looking to gather some more info about the 370z and will be looking to swap (plus cash) in the summer if possible - (or sell privately and buy privately, which ever works). Swapping would be easier for me as I'm only in the UK for 2 weeks a year! The rest of the time the car enjoys the great weather over here - the new Z will also enjoy the climate Cheers all
  18. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and looking to constructively raise my post count so that I can offer my BMW plus cash to swap for a nice 370z - I thought there's no better way than to explain the process my own car has gone through over here and explain how great these products are. As a bit of background, I'm an expat living in Croatia, so keep my car over here when required and do a nice long drive once a year through Europe. 2 years ago I had the car detailed but I was never completely satisfied with the protection on the paint. When I started to research what was available over here I was introduced to a small company who started offering Ceramic Pro 12 months ago. From what I can see these materials haven't made it to the UK yet, but it originates from a German company who were involved in industry and have made their products suitable for cars (you can apply them to planes, boats, etc). One of the benefits of living outside the UK is the cost of labour being significantly less here, as the whole process of detailing, paint correction, chemical cleaning of the interior, plus applying various coats of Ceramic Pro to the paintwork, wheels, glass and interior, is over 5 days of work for 2 people. Each time you apply a coat, you must let it harden. You also need special heat lamps and masks as the chemicals are toxic. So it's not really a DIY process like waxing is, but the results are amazing - with a 3 year warranty, the product is expected to stay on the car for the life of the car. It protects the paintwork, wheels, interior and glass (interior lasts around 6 months and needs a small reapply), it will protect up to 850c, offer excellent resistance to keying and scratches and protects from UV (great for Red paint). I will also never need to polish the car again, and when washing, all insects and dirt just falls off. There will also be no more swirls created by washing (or bad washers at BMW), and the car can even go through a car wash without any possibilities of scratches (not that I ever would!). When I got the car back, it looked better than when it came from the factory. Work completed: 3-stage detail and polish, 2 days work - removed 99% of paint defects, swirl marks and scratches 2 coats of Ceramic PRO 9H 2 coats of Ceramic PRO Sport 2 coats of Ceramic PRO Rain on the glass Wheels: Ceramic PRO Strong + Ceramic PRO Light Interior: Interior chemically cleaned Seats removed Leather fed twice, cleaned, resprayed back to factory colour (drivers seat was repaired badly when I bought the car at 2 years old) Protected with Ceramic Pro for Leather Total cost: £750 One thing I noticed when driving to Budapest last weekend was that I didnt even need to use the wipers during heavy rain, the rains instantly dissipates - quite a surreal experience for me and my passengers! The finished result can be seen in the attachments. If anyone wants any more info, I would be happy to go in to more detail. I'm hoping you'll ask questions, so that I can get my post count up!
