Just over the years from watching at shows and a fair few videos on youtube (i'll have a search later)

 

Main reason is a lot of the time they're doing it to show off to the crowed - I.e. keeping it running longer than needed.

But from video's I've watched so many times have they not been strapped down correctly etc and come off the rails

this is what i have read.

Want to put the car on the dyno, get a figure but also see and hear her on the dyno but if they use only 3rd when i know they should use 4th for a better read. mmmmmmmm

Its completely standard, want to see what I have currently have n want to see it on the dyno

Hey guys, I'm on my mobile so sorry if it's the wrong place for the question.

I have seen a few conversation about gears for power runs on a dyno and I'm curious what do you guys think the best gear is.

In my experience I have only seen my cars run with 3rd gear but I have seen that some people say the 350 gets a lower power figure when being done in 3rd and 4th is supposedly better

What say you guys?

I plan in putting my zed on the dyno at modified nationals and I'm curious.

well the 350 doesnt have an inside courtesy light, this is where i wanted to take the feed from but its only a reflector.

Perhaps it may be safer to put another switch on, unless anybody knows if i would be safe with putting a fuse inline and connecting it to the trigger mmmmmm

i was hoping to take the live feed from the troigger but i dont fancy playing with the BCM

i wonder if it would be easier to put a separate trigger.

So it looks like the 350 doesn't have door lights, only a reflector SO... i need to find a feed from the door trigger.

Can anybody tell me if the door trigger wiring is easy to get to?

I read that i cannot wire it to the interior lights as they are connected to the BCM? tbf i think it easier option would be to take the feed from the trigger.

Thoughts?

I was thinking the same, 225 is far different from the factory 276, i want to get my car on the dyno at modified nationals but seeing this it was put me off in case i have a very low reading standard

Haha they all sound like plans except the forced induction, done that before on another car, the time and effort I just don't want to do again ha.

Thought i would start a build thread for my newly acquired 350

54 plate with 43 on the clock, standard apart from the head unit.

Unsure how far ill go on the mods but all helps i suppose.

yea i agree, i think it was cars scratched, window broke.

You have to think, although there are many respectable clubs that go, there are also for lack of a better word "chavs" who go and have very little respect for others.

There were also people going around putting cable ties on peoples tent zips so they couldn't get out. Hotel for me every time otherwise i would see me going to prison and doing some time
