  1. Nice looking car, modern diesels are not to be underrated, my Honda surprises a lot of people, recently a Skyline GTT.

Nobody expects it either thats the great thing about them, particularly as the fuel economy is crazy good!

I've sat in the new TT's, it has to be said, the interiors are stunning, simple, driver focused facing towards you... just nice lol.

They really are, thats what sold it for me, the virtual cockpit is unrivaled compared to its rivals imo. The TT was never a car I really looked at much before either, but love the Mk3's B)

  2. It's just the lack of that lovely exhaust noise that I can't deal with. Also when I had. BMW 320 cd M Sport, the lag irritated the hell out of me!

The exhaust note is the big down side I agree, there had to be some compromises for me. Although so far I havent noticed any Turbo lag! (Will see if I think the same after a couple thousand miles ;) )

  3. Unfortunately I had to sell my Z as I wanted to get back pretty much what I paid for it 16 months a go, and with buying my first house on the horizon it made financial sense to let her go :( (Head over heart eh?)

Anyway, having been able to get great rates through my business here is the Z's replacement, 2016 Audi TT Ultra Sport S Line in Daytona Grey. Yes its a 2.0 TDI but it also does 62 mpg (with a very light foot) and costs £30 to tax. Its also surprisingly fun to drive having never owned a TDI before, it genuinely doesnt feel much slower than the Z when going through the gears. The virtual cockpit and interior is also excellent, a lot to keep me entertained!

Here's some pics I took when I picked it up last Saturday:

The equivalent 1.8T Petrol model is only 0.1 secs quicker 0-60 with roughly the same power and more costly to tax with around 45 mpg, so it was a no brainer in the end! 2.0 Petrol models were slightly over my budget.

So far so good anyway, absolutely loving it! :D

  4. Love the E92. Wanted a 335i before I went with a z, partly because nearly all of them were grandpa spec.

I was looking for that colour with the 313 alloys, red leather and M Sport kit, but they were all crappy colours, crappy wheels and wood interior which I didn't want. The diesels all seemed to be much better specced...

That was exactly me before I got my Z! Always loved the shape of the E92 and looked smart in the Gunmetal Grey! Was really hard to find one in a good colour / spec with red leather though

  5. Im currently looking to get a business lease car as well and both of your choices were in the cars I was considering, on a 24 month contract.

Ide personally go with the 2 series M sport as imo they are better looking and have a 'younger' feel. Im nearly 25 and thought the 4 series was more of a 'cool dads car', although still desirable.

  7. Mk 2 TT, Alfa Spider, Bmw 3 series coupe, Alfa Brera?

I had a T sport celica before I got my Z and could never really go back, on reflection just felt a lot less of a car imo

  8. Just a little update on this post. I test drove the new TT (2.0 TDI) a few weeks a go and expected it to be a bit timid, but was very impressed with the ride and it does shift through the gears!

Tried booking a test drive TWICE with Mercedes for the C Coupe but was never rang for it to be confirmed nor did they ring back when I chased them up.

Anyway, heres a quick pic of the exact TT im mulling over, thoughts?

  9. Hi Guys,

Due to the imminent arrival of a company car (Audi TT) im forced to sell my beloved Z. It kind of pains me to sell it as it will undoubtedly be one of the best cars I will ever own but I cant afford to keep both cars, even if I haven't really come to terms with letting it go.

    Quick points about the car:

    • 49,950 Miles (Will increase as its still my daily drive)
    • 4 owners from new including myself
    • Full service history
    • Unmodded with the exception of a Scorpion back box (Stock system developed a crack)
    • MOT till February 2017
    • Service due November 2016
    • 5 Nissan services and 2 speciliast services (Horsham Dev & Cougar Store)
    • No stone chips to the front of the car
    • Two new front tyres fitted in February

    BAD points:

    • Body work is in good condition, signs of small scratches and marks as to be expected
    • No dints or scuffs however
    • Interior also good, small scuff on side of passenger seat and scratches to the rubber of drivers door support as a previous owner has worn a ring / bracelet
    • Alloys with small signs of curbing but totally acceptable in my eyes
