  1. Hi mate .... I didn't actually clock you until you shot it up to the r/about and then along the fleet road .....day dreaming! -= but oh MAN that sounds nice! :teeth: -

I live just around the corner on Trunk Rd,

Lastnight was an ache actually - managed to kerb my immaculate rays, front nearside - momentary distraction looking for a piece of gum I dropped ...... gah! idiot!

  2. Sorry for delay, can't access from the office!

    - The reason I have 17's for sale is because I upgraded to Rays, so I don't actually have a need for more ..... but, you could buy mine, fit them and then sell your Rays! Which is kinda the same thing right!? ;)

  3. I've kept the old motor and will see if I can recondition for it happens again moment! :) - ... hope she doesnt quieten down too much! ..loving it ...

Lights are standard, I got them off a forum member- my nearside had been cracked and badly repaired (prev owner) and the inside was rusting + hazing was really bad ..

I played with US / Aus imports or splicing to fit UK ones and then ... boom a forum member offered me his, straight off a JDM good as new..... B)

  4. Excellent :teeth: my windows have been going up and down as well just to hear the exhaust bellow - Pictures please :D

My passenger one was doomed from purchase, had to punch the door card to get it to do anything and then it was anyones guess up or down! - best, don't touch the button.

....... that awesome feeling this morning then, when I opened the door .. window drops .. shut the door ....window closes - ..damn that made me happy, ahhh it's the simple things!!

Then, I fired her up!!! .... HAHAHAHAHAHA .. :teeth: ...

Pictures when it stops raining ....

Passenger window goes up and down, I'll be able to tell tonight if the lighting situation has improved (seriously couldn't be any worse)

AND she sounds AMAZING! .... if a little louder than I was expecting (nothing wrong with that)

Next .... Springs, Plenum, and a visit to Horsham Dev for Remap ..... :D .....

Now, would you please stop RAINING!! Grrrr

  7. Added 25/20mm spacers from Tarmac .. She looks great! - Next week the Cobra catback goes on together with new (newer/not damaged) headlights and finally, the replacement passenger window motor...

    Although that's a "Friday 13th" ... I can't wait... :D

Question: Do I need to make any additional adjustments or are the wheels/spacers a straight swap and play!? .... She feels as planted as ever, possibly the ride a little harder ... but, she seems to slide out easier than she did (Wheels were supplied with MPSS <1500miles left) - I'm thinking I need more tread, but just in case I should be changing some settings as well .... best ask the experts! ;)

    Any advice gratefully recieved.....

    thanks

    Justin

  8. A massive thanks to all those brilliant folk from this forum who turned out en mass tonight. It was a pleasure to meet you all :)

Some lovely cars on display including the latest 370 nismo and Buster in his latest masterpiece.

A superb turn out only marred by a busier pub than usual due to a funeral and the cold.

Once the weather improves and daylight hours are longer another meet will be on the cards.

    Thanks again.

....Much fun, nice people, awesome cars on show - thanks for setting it up .. look forward to actually being in mine next time! :D

  9. Mine does this, it's fine when it's warm (summer not engine!) - but cooler days and she's caught me a few times - funniest though when I dropped her into one of those "hand car wash and wax" places

Said to the guys, watch the boot - it will close on you ..... 10mins later, large Polish dude complaining he got thumped in the back of the head! - I felt for him, but I was pretty clear, arm movements the lot! :D

  10. Cobra Cat back / resonated now sitting in my garage, thanks to Chris & Rosie @ Tarmac Sportz - great friendly service, and speedy delivery.

Passenger window motor now here too .... .. nearly ready to start dismantling :teeth:

  11. Spacers and Lower springs to go ......

Have you priced up lowering springs+fitting vs coilovers+fitting? Coilovers aren't that expensive and will perform much better than OEM + lowering springs. If you're thinking of doing it in future there's little point in paying the fitting twice if you know what I mean.

Sound advice, thanks ..... performace wise, I can not grumble about the way she handles on OEM - as not my daily (C270CDI is) I find when I drive her, she just amazes me everytime - my thoughts were therfore, cheaper cosmetic / visual stance over improved handle, as long as lowering doesnt impair of course! - fitting isn't an issue /cost as will do it with a couple of pals (who have relevant equip!) .... however, noob I am and advice I will accept - if better to hold off for adjustable coilover / might just do that. BUT if she handles better, I'll go faster ... which means, I'll need to get the brembo brake calipers quicker (on wish required list) ... See what you're doing to me !!!!! hahahahah ..stop that!!!

just occured to me that I heard/read - I will need to change out droplinks if lowering? (>adjustable) - is that regardless of spring or coilover?

    Cheers
